The Grand Hotel, is a pleasant hotel, and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub area the most for the views. The staff was very nice, and helpful, but the view from my room was meager at best, for the amount I paid I couldn’t be farther from the elevator. I also chose this hotel for the gym facilities, but was disappointed that a couple of the cardio equipment had out of order on them, and the water dispenser was empty, and there were no towels provided. I had to go back all the way to my room to use my room towels.

Such a relaxing place to spend a ski vacation. So wonderful to just wake up in the morning, put your boots on, grab your skis from the ski valet, and ski down to the chair for first tracks.
At the end of your ski day nothing beats the outdoor pools at the Grand.
Downside is rooms are quite small and pricey. And they ding you $25/night for parking to add insult to injury. Overall the Grand does seem to be getting a little rough around the edges as it ages.

The Sun Peaks Grand is the only full service hotel in Sun Peaks. In general, the building is a bit dated and tired, particularly the common areas. Offsetting this, the young staff are lovely and eager to help and the hotel offers everything one could want to make a ski trip easy. It is ideally positioned with easy access to the lifts and the village. We stayed 7 nights in a 1 BR suite which was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We didn't try the in-house restaurant or the outside pool (which was pretty packed at the end of the day). If we return to Sun Peaks, we will stay at the Grand again.

Service was very good as was the overall hotel. The restaurant Mantles, that was another story completely. It was horrible. The service was decent and the servers very apologetic - not their fault the food was awful, the wrong temperature and timing just brutal. An hour and a half for still frozen fish & cold scallops. Luckily the service manager was apologetic. First time in my life I have sent back food. Do not eat at Mantles.

We have stay at the Sun Peaks Grant several times over the last 15 years. Staff is polite but not trained well on how to be attentive to guests. At lot of standing around chatting with friends until approached for help. Restaurant is understaffed and food delivery slow.
Three hot tubs with different temperatures and half of the jets working. The general feeling is the Grand is getting old, not the same as the old Grand during the Delta days.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the hill for ski-in and ski-out access. It also offers the best breakfast on the hill.
