"The service was excellent, and the location was superb with a beautiful view from the window. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring Henan specialty steamed dishes, stir-fried shredded pancakes, and even spicy soup (Hulatang). It was the most filling hotel breakfast I've ever had! My only suggestion is that the steamed dishes didn't come with dipping sauces, which might be confusing for non-local guests. Adding some next time would be a great improvement."

"This hotel is located in Zhengzhou's Grand Corn (Big Corn) building, with the lobby situated on the 38th floor. There's an attendant on the 1st floor to guide guests, and you'll need to transfer to another elevator on the 38th floor. It's not a hassle at all. The check-in associate was incredibly friendly and helpful. I noticed her name tag and realized it was Maggie, who many guests praise on Ctrip reviews. She even upgraded me to a lake-view room for free when she learned I preferred it โ€“ a big thank you to Maggie! Just like other Marriott hotels, it was clean and well-maintained with complete facilities. There were plenty of power outlets and USB ports by the bed and desk, which was very convenient. I didn't use the gym or pool, but I took a look around, and they seemed good. The pool is kept at a constant 28ยฐC, and there were a few people swimming. The Ruyi Lake boat dock is about a ten-minute walk away, and there are many dining and drinking options along the lakefront downstairs, which is super convenient. Enjoying a meal or drink while admiring the beautiful lake view is lovely. My schedule didn't allow for a longer stay, otherwise, I would have loved to spend a few more nights. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Zhengzhou! ๐Ÿ‘"

"An older hotel, I didn't have high hopes because I'm not a fan of carpets, but it turned out to be quite good after checking in! No allergies at all. Plus, there's a Mixue flagship store right across the street downstairs, and the pedestrian street is just below โ€“ super convenient. Personally, I found Metro Exit D to be more convenient than Exit B; you can just stroll along and find yourself at the hotel."

"I had an early flight the next morning, so I just booked a hotel randomly, and it turned out to be a real gem! We arrived at the airport around 8 PM. I called the hotel, and within five minutes, the driver called back saying he'd be there shortly. As we were on an international flight with a ton of luggage, a double crib, and two kids, Master Xiao went above and beyond, helping us with all the bags, keeping an eye on the children, and then driving us back to the hotel and even helping us take our luggage upstairs. The next morning, we had to rush for our 6:30 AM flight, and Master Xiao was there again, helping us get all the luggage downstairs. He repeated the whole process, and you could really feel his incredible work ethic and strength ๐Ÿ‘. The hotel also offered warm white fungus soup, helped us combine beds, and installed bed rails. I honestly think their service is on par with Haidilao! My only regret is that we arrived and left in the dark, so I didn't even get to see what the hotel looked like. ๐Ÿ˜‚"

"This is a really well-designed hotel, super close to the subway station โ€“ literally right outside. Parking is a bit further away, but still manageable. The front desk service was excellent; a young man proactively helped us with our luggage when he heard we had a lot, which showed great service awareness. The room had high ceilings and felt very spacious. Overall, the value for money is pretty good."

"The executive room I stayed in on the first day was quite nice, except the air conditioning wasn't working effectively. By the second night, I simply couldn't tolerate it anymore. (I returned to the hotel quite late, close to 11 PM.) I called housekeeping to report the issue. The housekeeping staff couldn't fix it and had to call in the engineering department. The engineers then determined the AC was broken beyond repair and instructed the front desk to assist with a room change. The result? I was moved to a standard room. To add insult to injury, the housekeeping staff member seemed quite annoyed, insisting that the new room was the same type and price as my original booking. Then, at nearly midnight, I still had to personally go down to the first floor to get my key card exchanged. Is *this* what they consider an executive room??? I generally don't leave negative reviews, and these photos were personally taken by me. As the saying goes, 'the public has discerning eyes,' and with photographic proof, this level of service truly disgraces the 'Henan Grand Hotel's' reputation!!!"

"The intern at the front desk, Sun Junyi, was lovely and enthusiastic, much better than the two people who were there on the day I checked in! The check-in process was so inefficient; from the moment I walked in, no one paid any attention to me while I was queuing. I just stood there! Couldn't a staff member or someone nearby at least offer a greeting? The room itself was still good, although a bit old, but the cleanliness, layout, and essential standards were all met. The soundproofing was truly excellent; I even wondered if there was anyone else on that floor. For someone like me who has trouble sleeping, this was a blessing."

"The hotel has been newly renovated and is luxurious and elegant. The service was warm and welcoming; the receptionist led me to the elevator and carefully explained the breakfast location and time, as well as the self-service laundry, gym, and more. The room was spacious, clean, and the bedding was comfortable, with a Sealy mattress and the popular Huazhu M3 pillows, which were incredibly comfortable. The bathrobes provided in the room were also very soft and comfortable, and there was a mini-bar with drinks, coffee, and tea. Who could resist the delicious chocolate oat milk? The thoughtful 0-calorie Coke was a welcome treat, so no worries about gaining weight! The breakfast was plentiful, especially the unique coffee DIY area with many of the latest trendy drinks like coconut water, coconut milk, and grape sparkling coffee. There was also a DIY yogurt bowl and DIY chapatta sandwiches, which were nutritious and delicious โ€“ I couldn't stop eating them! What surprised me most was the afternoon tea, a perfect way to replenish my energy. I especially loved the special gift upon check-out, and there was even a high-speed rail shuttle service! I will definitely recommend it to other friends and colleagues on business trips, and I'll definitely stay at my first Mercure hotel in Zhengzhou again."

"The location is good, not too far from anywhere, and the surroundings are relatively quiet. The room is spacious and not cramped, though the facilities are indeed old. It's clean, but some signs of wear and tear just can't be removed. Our room faced the building opposite, which was very close, so there was no view to speak of. The windows are sealed, but the air conditioning works. The meals are quite simple, and the price isn't high anyway. The young lady at the front desk and the cleaning staff were all very warm and attentive, especially the bellmen. They delivered takeout to our room tirelessly every day, without any delay. I have to specifically mention the shuttle service for the concert. On the first day, it was organized by room, which unfortunately led to long waiting times. On the second day, they took our feedback and changed the arrangement, which was very smooth. All the staff were enthusiastic and patient โ€“ thumbs up!"
