The property is nice. Rooms are sufficient for single travellers or couples only. Clean and Tidy and everyone was real helpful in whatever I did ask of them to help me with. I had a good stay.

I lived in the town before and used this pub only stayed 1 night food and beer excellent and all staff very friendly it's in the best location if I am ever in Chelmsford again would be my first place to call on

As expected, it was an old building with no elevator. My room was on the second floor, but a kind man helped me carry my suitcase. The Chinese restaurant across the street was also pretty good.

The staff very helpful and food excellent But room 7 seems to be over a cellar so noisey throw the night. And brick wall covering window.

Lovely old pub right next to Chelmsford rail and bus stations. Very welcoming bar staff. Rooms are really nicely decorated with tea and coffee making and separate secure access. Really great value and centrally located for all Chelmsford has to offer.

No hairdryer in the room. Shared Bathroom was upstairs. Bit of a maze. Staff friendly. Bed comfy.
