Muyun Resort

On the first day, we attended Sister Moon's felt-making class and a fireside concert. In the afternoon, we enjoyed snacks in our room while watching the sunset – the view was absolutely stunning. Due to the large number of guests, there weren't enough hot pots for the children at dinner, but the owner personally came to apologize and gave us a gift. There was also a performance at dinner. We got up in the middle of the night to look at the starry sky; there were so many stars it looked like they were about to fall from the sky. On the second day, a staff member drove the kids to look for marmots; apparently, there are many if the weather is good. Overall, although the price was high, the experience was excellent in terms of service, scenery, and accommodation. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

Dining: The buffet hot pot dinner was delicious, and the performance was also great. The beef buns for breakfast were homemade by the restaurant chef and were indeed very fragrant. Environment: The hotel's location is superb, offering unbeatable views within the scenic area. The drive from the north gate is scenic all the way. From the restaurant, you can overlook the Morigele River, seeing both sunrise and sunset, and even the Milky Way at night. Cleanliness and Service: I was worried about the room facilities and service after reading some negative reviews, but the actual experience exceeded my expectations. We booked a yurt, which was generally clean. Perhaps because it's autumn, there weren't as many mosquitoes, but flies could definitely fly in if you weren't careful when opening the door. The bidet and showerhead were the same model as the ones we use at home. The mattress was firm but very comfortable for us, as we suffer from lumbar disc herniation. The yurt is a bit far from the check-in area and restaurant, but there is a shuttle bus service.

The room facilities were good, but the restaurant service was just average. Since it's a grassland, there were quite a few insects and flies. Hopefully, they can improve their pest control measures. Dinner was good, but the beef and lamb were just so-so. The evening show was fantastic; although there were only four acts, it was very memorable. The scenery was truly breathtaking; both the sunrise and sunset were stunning, and I even managed to photograph the Milky Way at night!

The room rate was a bit high, but the overall experience was excellent. The hotel was very attentive, taking into account almost all our needs. The hotel boasts a prime location with stunning views of the Morigele River scenic area. I initially thought that since the yurt wasn't on the mountaintop, the view from the room wouldn't be great, but it was still beautiful and there were some unexpected surprises. We were up close to marmots, and in the morning, we even saw cattle and sheep grazing outside our window. During dinner, there were song and magic performances, but there was also a sudden gust of wind that made it impossible to leave the restaurant. We asked the staff, and they said it wouldn't stop anytime soon, so a group of us had to help each other back to our rooms. It felt like we could be blown away at any moment – ​​quite a unique experience! Around midnight, the wind stopped, and I was able to photograph the stars. Although there weren't many, I could see the entire Big Dipper, which was very satisfying. It drizzled for a while in the morning, and I thought it would be cloudy, but surprisingly, it cleared up around 9 am, making it another beautiful day.

The scenery was truly beautiful, but the service was nonexistent. The Mongolian songs were lovely, but the food was poor; it was advertised as a buffet, but it lacked many items. I hope the hotel can improve the professionalism of its staff.

The accommodation was truly disappointing. Our group of 12 paid over 5,000 yuan per night per room. Flies constantly landed on our food while we ate. During dinner, we were told there would be a performance, and we eagerly asked the staff when it would start. The staff replied, "They were going to perform earlier, but an old man complained about the noise, so it's canceled tonight." When we asked about the tea ceremony, they said it only happened at 4:30 pm, and if we went later, we wouldn't be able to participate. Is this how casual a high-end hotel is? The hot pot buffet cost over 4,000 yuan per person if paid separately, but any drinks also had to be paid for separately. We couldn't participate in any of the other so-called included activities unless we asked. There were no room rules or instructions when we entered the room, and the spring mattresses were incredibly hard. If this price is only for the view, it's really not worth it!

The scenery was first-rate, but the hygiene was second-rate, the facilities third-rate, the food fourth-rate, and the service was just so-so. Before coming, I read reviews and had expectations that the service and facilities wouldn't be great. However, everything exceeded my expectations. First of all, the scenery was absolutely stunning, far better than we anticipated. The hygiene and facilities were acceptable for a small, undeveloped hotel, but for a "luxury" hotel costing nearly 6000 yuan, it was just laughable. Indeed, as some reviews mentioned, suitcases couldn't even be opened. The food was about 30 yuan per person, like a group meal. Frozen meatballs with fatty, inedible slices of meat, and of course, flies as a side dish, as shown in the picture. The worst part was the service—not zero points, but negative points! First, upon check-in, they made me drive up the mountain myself, but there weren't any parking spaces. All the cars were occupied by tourists coming for afternoon tea; there was no priority for guests, and no parking spaces at all. After finding a parking space, there was no guidance whatsoever; I had to drag my suitcase along a dirt road to check in. Then, regarding the activity, I was first told via WeChat that there was some kind of "fireside tea ceremony" at 4 PM. I confirmed it was 4 PM when I checked in. When I arrived, there were several musicians and a group of guests waiting in a low yurt. The musicians seemed fine and even enthusiastically poured milk tea. However, they appeared to be waiting for some guests. The group of guests next to me kept coughing and didn't say what time it would start. They were preparing to leave at 4:30 PM. At 4:30 PM, I received a notification from the housekeeper saying that the fireside tea ceremony required a reservation. They hadn't mentioned a reservation at all, even though I had asked several times. So, the delay was because I hadn't made a reservation, and they were just waiting for me to leave? The funniest thing is that after I complained to the housekeeper about these things, someone actually came, banged on my door, came in, apologized profusely, and asked me what had happened and if I could explain. I was speechless. Then something even more outrageous happened. Since a reservation was required, I specifically asked the housekeeper if dinner required one, and they decisively said no. And guess what happened when we got there? There were only a few tables occupied, but they told us there was only one small square table left, and the others were all reserved. I was really grateful to the butler. Of course, they also put together a table for me on the spot, thank you to them too! This butler was truly terrible. In short, if you're only here for the view, no matter how expensive, go for it. Be prepared to be mistreated by the service. Also, I noticed that most of the negative reviews seem to be from people in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area. Maybe we're used to being pampered by nice hotels, sorry, haha. Cleanliness: Average, the dishes and chopsticks were all wet. Environment: First-class scenery. Service: Terrible

Staying in a traditional yurt at Muyun Hotel is very clean, with a nice view outside the window, a great location, a good check-in experience, and good front desk service. Recommended.

Although the room is not big, it is fully equipped and the view is unparalleled. You have a piece of grassland to yourself. Dinner was also very good. The ingredients for the hotpot were very fresh and the service was very good and responsive.
