XISHU GARDEN INN

If you want to experience the true charm of a traditional local inn, this is the perfect place. The architectural style is stunning and gives you a real sense of the local culture, yet the rooms are incredibly clean and well-maintained. A major highlight for our group was the bathroom setup—having a proper Western-style sitting toilet made the trip completely stress-free for the elders in our family. The staff members were brilliant; they speak wonderful English, making everything from check-in to asking for local advice effortless. Their warm, localized care made us feel right at home, and the cute little garden is a wonderful touch. I would gladly book this hotel again!

What a wonderful place! Tucked away in the back makes it quiet and serene, while still being at the center of the traditional Wenshu Monastary area. Perfect for all sorts of travelers, i was a solo female and stayed in the dorms with other friendly guests. Lovely inner courtyard with a cafe for relaxing and drinking tea. The staff are all so friendly and ready to give you all the tips on what to do in Chengdu. They speak perfect English as well! There are a lot of regular visitors, since people keep wanting to come back. The rooms are cleaned everyday and beds are made, with fresh towels provided. Everyday felt like I had just checked in, brand new. Breakfast has a range of western (toast, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal) or chinese (rice, wontons, fried pancakes..) and fresh fruit that changes from day to day. All ranges of coffee and tea as well. It filled me up well to start my day walking around the city! Definitely recommend to anyone, and I will be staying here next time I visit! Thank you :)

My favourite hotel in all of China so far! Had such an amazing experience here. Location was wonderful, staff was fantastic and breakfast was amazing. So happy with this hotel and looking forward to coming back!

Five-star review! I’m truly impressed with my stay at Xishu Hotel. From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient. Their professionalism made the whole process smooth and pleasant. The room was spotless, well-designed, and comfortably arranged. All the facilities were modern and well maintained, and the attention to detail was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept very well. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing, and the public areas are kept in great condition as well. Whether it’s cleanliness, service, location, or overall convenience, everything exceeded my expectations. I genuinely couldn’t find any flaws during my stay. I will definitely choose Xishu Hotel again next time I’m in the area and will gladly recommend it to friends!

Best area for living in Chengdu. Very cozy and comfortable hotel, big room, a lot of places for tea, food close to the hotel. Soooo helpful, beautiful, English speaking staff. They help us to book tickets for opera and pandas. Also good breakfast. Totally recommend!!! This little hidden Gem is 10/10. Easy to find . Give you dates in English & Chinese which is a big help. Lovely friendly staff . 24 hour check in desk . 5 mins from Wenshu monastery metro & the location is great. Shows restaurant & bars. Beautiful garden within . Breakfast was soo much . Rooms was so clean and tidy. Easy to find with English Sing in front. Also thank you to The kind staff lady who even got me on her bike to my next location now that's Hospitality.
