Ibis Hotel (Chengdu Taikoo Li Chunxi Road)

The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and provided excellent service. When I checked in on September 4, 2026, the special receptionist, Mr. Su, was very attentive and helpful, even carrying my luggage to my room. The stay was fantastic. We stayed in room 1025, which was beautiful, very clean, smoke-free, and had fresh air, so we slept very well. The room was quiet, and although there was heavy traffic outside, the view was expansive, offering beautiful city views The room had a window that could be opened and closed. The air conditioning was in good working order, fully functional, and could be manually switched on and off, so there was no need to worry about the room being too cold or too hot; the temperature was well controlled. The television was in good working order and fully functional. The cleaning staff were also very warm and friendly. The weather here varies every day; it can be hot, warm, cold, or even drizzling. Regarding the laundry room, I used it every day, the washing machine and dryer were both very good and easy to operate. You could choose an 18-minute or 30-minute washing cycle, and the drying cycle could also be controlled with buttons, choosing 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the clothes. I'm very grateful for the newly added electric kettle in the room; it's beautifully designed and very durable—I've never seen anything like it before. The hotel's location is excellent. You can walk directly to ICBC Bank, the International Finance Centre, Taikoo Li, Chunxi Road, Metro Line B, etc. It's like a shopping area with many vendors, but I ate many unique foods and fruits that I'd never seen or tasted before. Some fruits were cheaper than in Malaysia, like blueberries. Cash payments are accepted, and every shop and vendor will give change. Google Maps cannot find your hotel, but the GPS location on the Amap app is very accurate. Your hotel link points to the Mercury Hotel, but Google Maps can only show the location of the Mercury Hotel. The Ibis Hotel only has two elevators connecting to the Mercury Hotel's four elevators. The breakfast buffet is excellent, offering local, Western, and Asian food, all very fresh. This is my review for you here. I will also write the same positive review on Google and Trip.com. I will check out before 12 noon and tidy up the room before leaving. Regarding Mr. Su, I may have mistranslated his surname. I apologize, Mr. Su, your first and last name may be incorrect. Highly recommend this hotel! The location is perfect for exploring Chunxi Road, and the staff provided excellent support throughout my stay. The rooms were clean and the price is very affordable.

The hotel is great and spacious . Clean and friendly staff. Location was good and walking distance to IFS.

We booked Deluxe Fam Room for 4 nights and was originally given 9th floor. The room and bathroom size met our expectation of large size. However, there was cigarette smell in the room. Even after their technician came to deodorise, the smell still linger. They offered us change of room to 3rd floor. The 3rd floor room was definitely smaller, especially the bathroom. However, we decided to take up this room as it was already midnight and we have unpacked and most importantly, there was no distinct smell. The housekeeping came very early at 7am, as we forgot to put the DND sign. There is no soundproofing, from inside of hotel as noises from the corridor is loud. And our room was at the end of the corridor. Streets sound can be also heard, but bearable with curtain closed. The hotel service is very good. They were apologetic and gave us a small fruit basket for the room changing inconvenience. Overall for the price paid, the stay was ok. Walk to Taikoo Li about 12 mins.

We had an excellent stay and would definitely come back. Location is very convenient, about a 15-minute walk to Taikoo Li shopping area. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable - perfect for three people. Beds were very comfortable and everything was well-maintained. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure and no issues at all. Service was outstanding. Special thanks to 李子谕 who helped me secure my Dewu package, and 王薇 who was very friendly and responsive - even assisting us via WeChat with all our questions. Communication was easy and they were always willing to help. Breakfast is more Chinese-style, so may not suit those looking for Western options. WiFi is decent and works fine. Facilities like laundry, gym, and luggage storage were very useful. Overall, very good value for money with no hidden costs. Best parts are the staff, location, and spacious rooms—highly recommended for friends traveling together.
