JI Hotel (Chengdu Huanqiu Zhongxin Tianfu Yijie)

The room was excellent, and the scent was wonderful. The bespectacled young man at the front desk was very welcoming and even offered to upgrade my room. The room provided excellent light blocking, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

I booked this hotel because VOCO was fully booked that day, and I was going to see Penny Tai's concert on Saturday, so I wanted a nearby place that would be convenient for me to return to after a night out. Although it's a three-star hotel, it was very clean overall, and the facilities were complete. Personally, I felt the breakfast was comparable to other five-star hotels. It's just that the location is a bit remote, and the wooden floors make it feel less luxurious. There might have been some kind of spray in the hallway to mask the smell of smoke, but the slight odor was negligible. For a budget-friendly option, this hotel is actually quite good.

The hotel is very close to Universal Studios Chengdu, about a 15-minute walk. The decor is classic All Seasons style. The service was excellent, with the staff calling ahead to confirm arrival times and reserving rooms. If the self-service laundry was crowded, the staff would help with laundry and then notify you to pick it up. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm near Universal Studios Chengdu!

I'm not sure what the logic is behind the fruit delivery display. I booked a king-size room and it said fruit was included, but it wasn't delivered even once out of three days. That's fine, but the most unacceptable thing was when I went to do laundry, the washing machine was full, and I put my clothes in a bag next to it, noting wash and dry and delivery to the room. It arrived at 11pm, and the clothes weren't washed. ...I'm speechless. I've stayed here many times, but this is the first time I've encountered such a situation. The sanitary facilities are all good, but I can't comment on the service this time.

I was incredibly pleased with my hotel stay on this trip. A friend initially arranged a five-day stay for me, and the experience was so good I decided to extend it and booked again. I've always been a Hampton by Hilton Platinum member, and this was my first time staying at a Four Seasons hotel. It was far better than I expected. The staff were extremely polite and attentive. The hotel also has a laundry room, and what was even more amazing was that they had a dedicated staff member who washed my clothes and delivered them to my room. Such thoughtful service.
