Wren Culture Boutique Hotel

This place is a mineral museum on the first floor near changing mask show and ear picking shop. The room is very nice. The biggest bed is in the middle of living room while another is beside bathroom. The terrace also works as smoking area. However, the environment noises are not great. We heard the ear picking shop ringing sound and changing masks show’s announcements until around 22:30. Then, the rain and the water drain sounds until 2am. Lastly around 3am, somehow smoke alarm starts beeping. Definitely recommended families who wants a quiet ambiance to recheck with hotels about quiet rooms. But for those who wants to experience Chinese streets locals atmosphere, I would recommend. In my opinion, it is like a funny annoying chaos of noises.

We reached there at night and the hotel informed us that there was a last min notice for the power supply shutdown which caught us by surprise. The hotel had prearranged for another hotel, which is 100m away, for us to stay for the night. But we still encounter power shutdown at the other hotel. The next morning we changed back to our hotel and we had a pleasant stay. The service was very good and the family room was spacious and clean.

Overall experience was good except the noise from shop closing around 8.30pm till 11pm, opening from 7am onwards and street cleaning/repair/reno after 11pm. Location was good as very convenient to people park which our families enjoyed the most as it was skow pace and relaxing from busy street like chunxi.

Superb location within 宽窄巷子 with tourist spots, attractions and happening activities surrounding. Nice service by the hotel staff, spacious room and plenty of titbits provided. One of our best stays in Chengdu.
