Just perfect , placed in a very nice part of the city. In the front desk they speak English and what’s more they are very nice and helpful , that makes easier almost everything.
The room was huge , clean and juste perfect with an outstanding view of the city.
We definitely recommend it and we’ll stay here a gain if we come back one day.

room is huge, plenty of space for packing. however, the amenities seems rather lacking for a 5-stars hotel (no swimming pool, pillows were too thin, aircon makes dull noises whenever it is turned on). i’d say that this is the lower end of a 5-stars hotel. some of the 4-stars hotels that i’ve stayed in chengdu were almost on par with dorsett.

View was very nice. Good location right next to a metro station. Reception speaks english.
Walls were very thin so I recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Dorsett Chengdu = Great city base! 🏙️🛏️
Loved the location—right by the metro, easy to get around. Rooms were comfy, staff were helpful.
Bonus: late check-out and free-flow tea in the lounge! Would stay again! ✅

The hotel has an excellent location within walking distance (an easy 25 minute stroll) of Tianfu Square, the Chengdu Museum, Chengdu Library and the Science and Technology Museum. It also has a metro station next to its entrance offering metro line 1 which takes one directly to quite a few landmarks for a mere 2 yuan. Didis and taxis are also easy to book or flag down in that location. The reception staff are generally helpful but special mention must be made of the outstanding concierge division : Cloudy and Cinderella are particularly congenial and deserve high praise. The one drawback is the breakfast room which can be very chaotic during peak hours, especially when large coach tours arrive.

Staff are courteous and helpful. The breakfast, lunch and dinner within the hotel are extremely affordable.
Close the MRT and 30mins easy for the TaiKu Li and Tianfu square.
