Homeland Hotel

The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from Shuangliu Airport, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The staff were very helpful, opening car doors and carrying luggage – excellent service. The room facilities are a bit dated, probably because it's an older hotel. Breakfast, however, was quite plentiful.

Very luxurious and comfortable room, well-equipped too. I recommend it.

I've been a returning guest for over ten years; it's an old, established hotel. It's convenient for the airport and there are plenty of dining options, plus the subway is right outside the door.

The hotel is good, and the grounds are beautiful. It felt like being at a seaside resort. The room was warm and cozy. It was also a nice touch that they brought a complimentary fruit plate to the room. However, there are some downsides. When checking in, an employee escorted me to reception, took my suitcase and bag, and was in such a hurry that he dropped all my bags, which contained expensive electronics. The female administrator at reception wasn't very welcoming. For a 5-star hotel, this felt a bit strange. Breakfast was a buffet. There was a variety of food, but not as much choice as in other 5-star hotels. In the breakfast restaurant, some tables were dirty and were only cleaned after I asked, even though many staff members were walking around and didn't notice the unclean tables. The walls in the hallway were dirty. There was a long hair on the towel. All of this creates an overall impression of the hotel that isn't quite what you'd expect from a 5-star establishment. Though for the price, it's generally acceptable. I hope the hotel management pays attention to these points to improve the service and standards so that guests have only positive experiences. Overall, I liked the hotel.

I chose this hotel for a layover because it's close to the airport. It offers great value for money, a nice environment, and good service.
