Mercure Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley Central Reviews

I always stay at this hotel whenever I'm in Chengdu. The environment is great, the location is central, and it's quiet and comfortable. The breakfast has a wide variety, and Xiao Chen's attitude was exceptionally good.

The French-style decor is elegant and romantic, making for a fantastic stay. As expected from a HUAZHU Hotels brand, it's all excellent!

The room arrangement was satisfactory, and overall, it was comfortable and suitable for travel.

The room size was quite good, well-equipped, and the location was excellent. The front desk service was very good. The only downside was that some of the facilities and equipment were a bit old, but everything else was fine.

The room was clean, and they were quick to replace any faulty equipment. Their response time was excellent. When the hairdryer in my room wasn't working, I informed the front desk and within 5 minutes, a robot delivered a new one. The hotel breakfast was fantastic, with both Chinese and Western options, and a very extensive selection of dishes.

Very comfortable, with warm and welcoming staff. The room was also great – clean and tidy. My child particularly enjoyed the TV programs!

Hygiene: The mop and rag used by housekeeping smelled bad, but everything else was fine. Service: The service was impeccable, as expected from a HUAZHU property. Facilities: The toilet in the room wasn't as good as the one in the 3rd-floor public restroom. Environment: Convenient for getting around and daily life. Breakfast was excellent.

The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to Kuanzhai Alley. The staff are all incredibly warm and enthusiastic, just like true Sichuanese! Plus, the breakfast is really generous and delicious. Definitely recommended!

Booked a family room, and the front desk staff (a lovely lady) upgraded us to a family suite for free and even included breakfast for the kids, which was very much appreciated. The hotel facilities are quite new and well-equipped, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes' walk to Kuanzhai Alley. The only thing that needs improvement is a faint smell of smoke in the bathroom; perhaps there's a way to remove it during cleaning. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely come back next time.

The hotel boasts an excellent location right next to the subway, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's also just a few minutes' walk to Kuanzhai Alley. A special shout-out to the bathroom shower – the water pressure and flow were fantastic, allowing for a thorough and refreshing wash. I didn't even notice the brand, but I'm thinking of getting one for my own home! 😂 The front desk staff, both the lady and the gentleman, were patient and meticulous in answering all our questions. We also happened to run into the General Manager in the lobby, who gave us a detailed overview of Chengdu and its surrounding attractions, along with personalized recommendations based on our itinerary. We're very grateful for their help!

The location is absolutely unbeatable! It's within walking distance to Kuanzhai Alley, making it super convenient to head back to the hotel after exploring. The hotel elevators are pretty quick, so getting luggage up and down is a breeze. The common areas are spotless, and on the third floor, there's a self-service laundry and a gym with really good equipment – being able to do laundry while traveling is such a necessity! The rooms are well-maintained, and all the amenities feel quite new. Hot water comes on fast, the WiFi is strong, and the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation, making for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety, including authentic Sichuan snacks, so we had a very satisfying start to our day. Room cleaning is thorough, and all the staff are very friendly. Being in the city center, there are tons of great restaurants nearby, which is perfect whether you're sightseeing or looking for a bite to eat. Overall, the value for money is excellent. If you're visiting Chengdu, you can definitely choose this place with confidence!

Mercure Hotel was my top choice for my 5-night stay in Chengdu. The service was excellent, the room was spacious enough, and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff, both the guys and ladies, were all very polite... Especially the breakfast – there was a wide variety, and I felt so satisfied every morning that I could even skip lunch!

The night-shift front desk staff had a terrible attitude. The bed also smelled. The hairdryer was too old. Breakfast was good, and the washing machine was also good.
