Somerset properties in Chengdu

Somerset Hotel, an Ascott property, truly lives up to its reliable brand name. The room was spacious, well-laid out, and fully equipped, with spotlessly clean linens. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and check-in was quick and efficient. The service was impeccable. Overall, a fantastic experience. Even though this trip was rushed, I still managed to savor Chongqing noodles, other local dry pot dishes, and ordered takeout – I made sure not to miss out on the good food!

Stayed in a king room and liked it, so I extended for two more nights in a twin room. I found the twin room to be a bit inferior to the king room. There was no light control by the bed, so I had to get out of bed to turn off the lights. If I had stayed in the twin room first, I probably wouldn't have extended my stay. The service was excellent. The first night, my room smelled strongly of smoke, and they promptly moved me to a non-smoking floor. The small garden on the 34th floor (top floor) offers a nice view. Breakfast was decent.
