Le Royal Méridien Chennai

Hotel looks old and too far to some locations. Didn't like the room given on the first day. Front office staff Mr Akash was very helpful to change our rooms the next day. And the conceige ( I forgot his name) was very helpful too. We had a nice stay there.

Great stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Le Royal Meridien has been very disappointing, to say the least. I asked for a non-smoking room and when I checked in, it smelt of cigarette smoke. The loud noise of the elevator kept me up. I called the guest services twice to ask for help, and when there was no response, I had to go down to the lobby past midnight and complain. They assigned me a different room. The rooms are dirty, carpets are not probably not vacuumed frequently. The drapes and curtains are filthy. There were other minor issues such as a broken kettle, lamps not working properly, iffy wifi… minor irritants, but one doesn’t expect this level of shoddiness from a star hotel. I am very disappointed and I don’t think I will be returning here in the near future.

The breakfast was excellent, as well as the services that the staffs had provided. However, the hotel aged, so some of the facilities in the room are malfunctional.

Staff at the reception are nice and friendly, crews and bellboys helps with your stuff. However, got harassed by one staff at the bar. We were being forced to leave where we are seated to a sofa near the bar and embarrassed my friends while we are waiting for the coffee we ordered at the bar. Tirelessly, even to the point of heated argument he never stopped until I made myself clear that I am going to report him. I had been a guest for this hotel since 2019 and unfortunately treated like this. This staff must be removed for inappropriate action.
