We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The people working here are so kind and helpful. The Breakfast was excellent and the rooms are lovely. Also, an excellent location. I hope to stay here again.

Absolutely lovely hotel that we would highly recommend if visiting Chester. The location is really good with a short walk to the centre. There isn't a car park for the hotel but it's less than 5 mins walk to one and the hotel have a half price voucher for it too. The atmosphere in the hotel and the cleanliness and rooms were excellent. Nice touch giving you bottles of water as well as the usual tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. The room was very spacious with everything you'd need and a nice temperature. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of choice, making it really good value for money with the stay too. The hotel has a lovely lounge area where you can sit and have a drink, and there's even a pool table if you fancy a game. We would definitely come again when visiting Chester.

From check in to check out ALL the staff provided a genuine warm guest focussed service- nothing too much trouble . The lounge area cosy with the lit fire in the afternoons; fantastic soup and roll from 1200-14.30 offering ; 1st floor room ( yes all rooms have stairs as mentioned) which was easy to control the heating. Modern efficient bathrooms with plenty hot water . Tea coffee and kettle in room; hairdryer iron and board , bottled water . Very well maintained and excellent housekeeping. The breakfast really was outstanding- Dill the chef to be warmly congratulated for presentation , quality; and variety. Again his aim was to deliver and he did at every level. Bag store age was so appreciated before check in and after check out . This small hotel delivered above our expectations and perfect location to explore the city with so many high quality restaurants on the same street too. We will be returning to The Townhouse Chester - 5 stars from us for every aspect. Thank you .

Had a 24 hr break with my sister catching up. The hotel is in a great location for all the city. The hotel is very clean. The staff were most helpful. Great value for money, we shall return when next visiting Chester.

Just home from another lovely weekend at The Townhouse Hotel. Rooms are spotless with very comfortable beds, a great shower which is always a bonus. Breakfast is cooked fresh and I, as always have perfect poached eggs on toast, there is a great selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt and pastries also. The staff are the friendliest ever. The location is spot on, close to shops, bars, restaurants, the river is just a 5minute walk away. Can't wait for my next visit.

Stayed here with friends over the Halloween weekend , rooms are basic nice and clean with a tv !! The beds were really comfy and a decent shower with plenty of clean towels! We had been drinking most of the day in Chester when we came back to the hotel we had a hot chocolate drink from the bar which honestly was the best I’ve ever had!! made by the bartender !! The staff are excellent nothing was a problem for them ! Thanks staff , the breakfast was excellent as well lovely bacon and sausage with a poached egg cooked to perfection !! The staff here are great we will stop here on are next trip to Chester

Stayed a couple of nights for hen party, we had a few rooms plus the party room downstairs. Rooms were spotless, comfortable beds, lots of tea and coffee in rooms and bottled water. Breakfast was extra, lots of choice and cooked offer was brought to you. The hotel is in a great position for bars, restaurants and shopping. There is a car park 2 minutes away and you get discount when staying at the hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly, thanks to the lady who took lots of photos for us on the hotel steps. Would definitely stay again.

Big rooms , spotlessly clean , big comfy beds , delicious breakfast . Very friendly staff . Would 100% stay here again. Only criticism would be no main lights in the room just bedside lamps which meant it was quite dark in the evenings making reading my book a bit difficult.

This is a lovely friendly hotel close to all the amenities in Chester. Within walking distance of centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast cooked to order by chef Dill - tasty and well presented. Room cosy, clean and quiet.

We stayed one night at this hotel on a bed , breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. The breakfast was cold buffet and then a good selection of food cooked to order and was fantastic, real quality food. The staff were very friendly and the location is superb right in the centre of Chester. Well done and thank you to everyone at the hotel we will definitely return.
