From the outside, the property looks luxurious, but in reality it is an old hotel with no real upgrades. There are two buildings next to each other: one cheaper and one slightly more expensive.
The location is good, but that is the only positive thing I can mention.
At check-in, I was placed in the cheaper building. The room was shockingly dirty—far below the standard of even a zero-star guesthouse. I could not believe I paid USD 90 for a room like that. The toilet was cracked and tilted to one side. The bathroom still had someone’s hair in it. Stains and dirt were visible everywhere. I had to open all the windows because of the disgusting sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The air conditioner blew directly into my face the whole night, and I could not sleep at all.
I wanted to take photos of the room as proof, but I genuinely felt too nauseated to even do that.
When staff came to help, they even damaged the table while trying to fix something. The bed sheets were damp and yellowish. There were no tissues; I had to go out and buy my own. The drinking water had an unpleasant odor. Every piece of furniture felt loose or unstable. Meanwhile, the lobby and restaurant tried to look “fancy,” which made the contrast even worse.
The next day, I was moved to the slightly better building. The room was cleaner, but everything was still old and poorly maintained. The hair dryer had exposed wires. The staff were not friendly. The swimming pool was right against the bar’s glass wall, so people could watch you swimming like you were inside an aquarium. The water was dirty. The gym smelled bad and was filthy.
It is honestly shocking that a hotel with such high ratings could be this disappointing. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
