Chiang Mai Hill Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for 12 nights straight, including breakfast, and overall I was very satisfied. It offers good value for money. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to and from Nimman Road, Maya Mall, Chiang Mai University, and Doi Suthep. The environment is quiet and peaceful. It's an older hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but the room was cleaned exceptionally well and was very spacious, making it very comfortable for a solo traveler. The bedding was changed daily, and two bottles of drinking water were provided – the service was consistently good and attentive. The Wi-Fi was better on the first floor; in the room, it would occasionally buffer when watching short videos, but it was acceptable since I had a 30-day unlimited data plan. The gym had a good variety of equipment, and there's a swimming pool. The air conditioning in the hotel was very strong. Personally, I don't prefer carpeted rooms, and my room on the 6th floor didn't have carpet, which I really liked. The hangers in the room were non-removable, but I brought my own, and I could hang laundered clothes on the rod above the bathroom, which met my needs for doing laundry during a long stay. This hotel is very suitable as a base for a long stay in Chiang Mai, and for the price, the overall experience was excellent.

From the exterior and lobby, you can tell this used to be a high-end hotel, but the rooms are definitely outdated. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the air conditioning was really noisy, and there were no power outlets by the bed or a single switch to turn off the lights. However, considering the price, which also included breakfast, I can't really ask for more. There's also an outdoor pool and gym on the 2nd floor. The value for money is absolutely superb.

This was my second stay here. Even though the hotel has a traditional design, I love its convenient location. It's easy to get around, and the price is reasonable. The breakfast is complete and good, and the room is cleaned daily with cool air conditioning. I'll book this place again next time I'm in Chiang Mai.

Great service! My room didn't have a hairdryer, but I called the hotel and housekeeping brought one up very quickly.
