The room was bigger than it looked in the pictures, perfect for a female traveler. It was a duplex, so I could do my makeup downstairs and sleep upstairs. Plus, we booked for three days during the May Day holiday and it only cost just over 1000 yuan, including tax.

I've traveled abroad over ten times this year, staying in everything from five-star hotels to hostels, and this was by far the worst accommodation experience. What's even crazier is that their rating is still above 4.5 – I seriously question their review system. The entire hotel gives off a superficial sense of luxury, but the room details don't stand up to scrutiny. The value for money is extremely, extremely poor, the hygiene is substandard, and the Wi-Fi signal is barely there. The location is terrible, tucked away in a deep, dark alley. The most horrifying part was that in my room, there was a strange, foul odor emanating from the pad under the pillow. It was like a ten-year-unwashed sock had been left there to marinate. I suspect someone was eating in the room and spilled fish sauce in that spot, causing the pillows, our pajamas, and even the sheets to reek. The staff were completely perfunctory and unhelpful, like yes-men with no solutions. Blacklisting this hotel; strongly advise everyone to avoid it.
