Yantarasiri Resort in Chiang Mai truly feels like a hidden oasis tucked away in Nimman. It's an escape from the hustle and bustle; stepping through the door reveals brick paths, lush greenery, and serene water features, offering instant relief after a day of exploring the city. The location is absolutely perfect – Nimman One, various cafes, and night markets are all within walking distance, making shopping and sightseeing super convenient. There are a few minor downsides: being close to the airport means occasional plane noise during the day, and rooms on the third floor have bamboo blinds, letting in a lot of light in the morning, so light sleepers should bring an eye mask. But beyond that, it's excellent: the pool is crystal clear, the courtyard has great character, the rooms have authentic Thai charm, the bedding is comfortable, and the front desk even helps arrange taxis and recommend restaurants. The service is attentive without being intrusive. It's perfect for those who want to 'feel like they're in the city when shopping, and on vacation when back in their room.' Avoid booking during peak bloom seasons and bring earplugs, and this place offers fantastic value and ambiance.

The hotel is conveniently located for getting anywhere. The environment has a charming vintage feel, and it's very clean with frequent housekeeping. The staff are highly service-oriented! It's easy to get to any dining, entertainment, or taxi destination from here.

The females staff were very kind and attentive ❤️ It’s clean and I love the surroundings, good vibes, and nature. I didn’t mind about the air plane noise but the room next door or above ( not sure which one) very loud, I could hear them talking every morning and night. ( Maybe they could hear me as well ). The housekeeper didn’t refill the toiletries and didn’t replace new towels as well ( there is no toothbrush provided at the beginning, pls prepare yours) , but it’s not a big deal, I called them and they replaced it. Overall, I’m happy to stay here and would love to come back next time Big thanks to one of the female staff ( don’t remember her name but I always saw her at the reception). She has a great sense of hospitality.❤️❤️❤️

*Room condition and service need attention* The central location was great. However, the room was not clean and had a noticeable odor when we arrived. The staff also appeared to lack proper training in handling guest concerns. With some improvements, this hotel has potential.

The air conditioning wasn't turned on before I arrived in the room. The hygiene was off, it smelled bad, and there were no toothbrushes or toothpaste. The room itself was spacious though.

Although simple, the hotel breakfast caters well to Chinese tastes, and the staff are very polite. The room is quite spacious.

The room was incredibly comfortable, with a lovely antique charm and it was spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptionally warm and polite. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for dining and shopping.

The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from One Nimman, and with its Lanna style and pool, it mostly met our expectations. I highly recommend checking out the local market next to the hotel on Fridays; the food selection is fantastic.

The room was surprisingly clean and spacious. We received complimentary breakfast with our stay, but only tried it once during our three days as there are so many better food options to explore in Thailand. The only downside was the significant airplane noise, as we were directly under a flight path, but we eventually got used to it.

I booked this resort in Nimman with high expectations, thinking the Thai garden setting would be a comfortable experience. Instead, it was a nightmare from start to finish. Both the hygiene and service were terrible, and their attitude towards Chinese tourists was especially bad. I genuinely advise all my compatriots to avoid this place – absolutely do not choose it! **1. Extremely Poor Room Hygiene: Live Cockroaches Everywhere, No Sense of Security** As soon as I entered the room, I saw a large cockroach scurrying across the floor. In the bathroom, there were insect feces stains in the shower corner, clearly indicating that daily cleaning was perfunctory and pest control completely inadequate. Given the wooden rooms and surrounding greenery, I could understand small insects, but the presence of so many cockroaches shows the hotel doesn't perform regular pest control. I immediately took photos as evidence and went downstairs to report the hygiene issue to the front desk. That night, I was moved to room 207, but when I opened the door, there were *still* cockroaches! [fear emoji] I was then moved to room 205. I couldn't dare turn off the lights the whole night, terrified that cockroaches would crawl onto the bed. My rest was completely ruined, adding to my travel fatigue. **2. Passive and Unresponsive Problem Resolution; No Proactive Compensation; Guests Forced to Compromise** From check-in to check-out, no staff member proactively followed up or apologized. They completely ignored the legitimate rights protection requests from Chinese guests. **Summary – AVOID at all costs:** 1. **Hygiene Issues:** Severe insect infestation, frequent cockroaches, inadequate pest control, and poor room cleaning. If you mind bugs or seek clean accommodation, stay far away. 2. **Discriminatory Service:** Staff were cold and perfunctory towards Chinese tourists, showing clear differential treatment and disrespecting Chinese guests when addressing issues. 3. **Terrible After-Sales Service:** Problems were handled passively, with no proactive compensation and no importance placed on guest complaints. The entire stay was miserable and completely undeserving of the resort's price point. There are many hotels in Chiang Mai's Nimman area of similar price and style, with far superior environments, hygiene, and service. I genuinely urge all Chinese tourists visiting Chiang Mai: do not fall into the trap of The Tharavadi Resort. Paying to be treated so poorly is absolutely not worth it!

Due to high season, we had to switch rooms mid-stay to an Executive King, which was quite spacious. It had a large bathtub on one half of the balcony. The room was in a corner, so the window view wasn't great. There were ants in several spots in the room; staff promptly took care of it, but new ants appeared again shortly after. If you don't need a bathtub, I'd recommend the Deluxe room instead.

The shower water in this hotel kept alternating between cold and hot. There was even blood on the bedsheets. I wouldn't recommend staying here with children. It's dirty and unhygienic. The breakfast wasn't good either. However, considering the cheap price, I can't really complain much. The location is excellent though.
