The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel and Convention

The hotel is large and very clean. I especially loved the bed, pillows, and blanket – much better than expected. There's a fitness center and a large swimming pool. It's also easy to get around. However, the staff at the hotel entrance were nowhere to be found when I arrived; they didn't come out to greet me. Perhaps they were assisting other guests or there weren't enough staff. It would be good to have someone there consistently. The breakfast had a good variety, but for the dry goods, I'd suggest checking them before putting them out.

I was tired from my trip to Phuket before heading back to Chiang Saen, so I booked this hotel the day before. It turned out to be a good decision because it rained as expected. My friend's driver dropped off my luggage at reception first, then took me to Central, which was about a kilometer away. I picked up some takeout food and beer, then took another taxi back to the hotel to check in. If it had been sunny, I could have walked, so saving on taxi fare would have made room service a good value for money. For taxis, even for short distances, if you don't use a ride-hailing app, you'll either wait a long time around 7 PM or pay 200B one way. As other reviews mentioned, the quality of the beds, sheets, and towels is what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. The breakfast also had a good variety. The staff were excellent, but the doors to the rooms and restrooms creaked, indicating a lack of maintenance. If the price were 200B lower, this hotel could potentially become my regular go-to.

Great room, good pillows, and a comfortable bed. The best part was definitely the breakfast buffet – so much variety and everything tasted delicious!

Great location, very convenient. You can walk to Central, or it's easy to drive with two entrances/exits to the main road, one at the front and one at the back. The swimming pool is excellent, and there's a fitness room. The reception staff are cheerful, polite, and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and includes local dishes.

It's decent. The facilities are comprehensive, and the hotel is quite large. It's suitable for business travelers.
