We stayed at The Target Hotel Chiangrai on Aug 27–28, and it was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.
The walls are paper-thin, and the hotel is located right next to a Child Care Facility — something that is nowhere mentioned in the listing. All night long there was loud music blasting and people shouting somewhere in the building, making it completely impossible to sleep. Then in the morning, the noise started again from children right next to our room. Zero soundproofing, zero consideration for guests trying to rest.
When we complained about the disturbance, they only agreed to reimburse the second night and flatly refused to compensate the first, even though it was just as bad. We ended up having to book another hotel the same day, last-minute, at a much higher price, just to get an actual night’s sleep.
Also, it’s quite dirty, rubbish in the drawers and you can see in the pictures , those are breakfast spoons and the worker came and shuffled the new food with them!!!
Maybe the only pro was - the beginning, they met us with umbrellas and helped with the luggage
If you’re looking for a quiet, professionally run hotel, this is not it. Avoid.
