Green Hotel - Chiayi Reviews

I booked a room with two double beds. The beds were spacious, which was great. Although the room sizes are listed as the same, it seems the shape of each room varies. The location was convenient, right between the night market and the station. If you're taking the bus to Alishan, the Chang Hwa Bank stop is a bit closer and recommended for local buses. I didn't do it myself, but it seems you get something for reviewing on Google.

Everything was simple and clean. Our requests were always met, making for a good experience. The location is excellent, very close to the station. There's a night market and shopping mall nearby, and plenty of convenient and affordable food options. The price was also cheap.

For those driving, there's no guaranteed parking spot; you'll have to find one yourself. There's a private parking lot right next to the hotel, with a daily maximum charge of $220. However, parking overnight means paying for two days, totaling $440. If you walk about 5 minutes, two alleys over on Xinrong Street, there are two slightly cheaper parking options (next to 7-11 for $130, and across the street for $150). Also, the water pressure in the shower is a bit low. Other than that, everything else was great!

The room was clean, the location was great, and the common area was beautiful. Parking was 100 [currency, e.g., TWD/RMB] per night.

Nestled in the bustling heart of Chiayi City, this hotel is just a short walk from the famous Wenhua Road Night Market and the colorful Baseball Statue Square. There are plenty of local eateries nearby, and a 7-Eleven right across the street. The rooms are clean, tidy, bright, and comfortable.

Clean, nice and good

The location is super convenient, with the night market just a short walk away. The elevators were a bit slow, so expect a short wait. The room itself was a decent size, though the toilet felt a little too close to the bathroom door, and the sink's position right by the entrance was a minor inconvenience. Still, it's a good hotel overall.

The room was spacious and the front desk service was excellent. However, complimentary bottled water isn't provided, and disposable toiletries are only given upon request, which is a bit different from what's common in mainland China. The 3rd floor has a communal lounge and a laundry room, and it seemed quite lively with many people chatting. However, after a long day of sightseeing, I was too tired to socialize. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, being extremely close to the high-speed rail station, bus station, and night market! The ********* people are incredibly friendly! My boyfriend almost lost his phone at the night market, but a snack stall owner helped keep it safe for him. We're truly grateful for their kindness!

The room was comfortable and simply furnished. While the walls and ceiling showed a bit of age, they certainly didn't look dirty or run-down. We stayed in a quad room (corner unit) this time, and the layout was quite peculiar. The bathroom was a triangular space, awkwardly fitted with a bathtub and an inward-opening door. It felt incredibly cramped for even one adult and one child to shower. To make matters worse, the door was right next to the showerhead, causing water to constantly spray out through the gaps during a shower. Definitely a poor design! Overall, my impression was decent, and the cleanliness was average. However, considering the room and the price, it still offers good value for money. The absolute highlight, in my opinion, is the fantastic location! They also have an affiliated parking lot. On a side note, there's a Lin Family Fen Yuan (tapioca dessert shop) right next door, to the left of the hotel. It's incredibly chewy and delicious – highly recommended! 😍 The Wenhua Road Night Market is also a pleasant 8-10 minute walk down the alley diagonally opposite the hotel. 👍

Just a 5-minute walk to the night market. Parking is very convenient; you can park your car and then simply walk to dinner. The nearby restaurants are famous and delicious. It's truly in a prime location, a perfect 'sweet spot' within the bustling downtown area. Absolutely fantastic, highly recommended!

The staff's handling of the issue was very prompt. Upon checking in that day, I immediately noticed mold in the bathroom tub and hair on the floor. I called the front desk to report it, and after a staff member came to inspect, they quickly arranged a room change. Their quick and efficient resolution was excellent. However, I hope that a final cleanliness check is performed before guests check into their rooms in the future.

The rooms were clean, and having water dispensers on every floor was a fantastic feature. I also really appreciated the thoughtful pillow selection service advertised in the elevator. My overall experience was excellent. While the parking lot wasn't directly adjacent and required a short walk (with a 100 NTD charge per entry), I was very satisfied overall.

A water dispenser is available, ensuring you always have drinking water. There are many unique cafes in the vicinity. I particularly recommend 'Shuang Kong' cafe – their cakes are incredibly delicious! The hotel itself also has a coffee shop, and the bathrooms feature a wet/dry separation.
