The only minor drawback was the extra charge for parking, but everything else was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and the location was convenient. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely come back if I have the chance. Thank you!

Definitely won't be staying here again. I've stayed in so many family rooms, and this is the first time I've been asked to keep quiet at night because my kids were being noisy and running around, potentially disturbing other guests! If they're all family rooms, shouldn't the soundproofing be better? They also didn't handle our complaint promptly. The guests next door kept banging on our door and yelling loudly in the hallway, which scared my children and made them cry. The staff's attitude towards handling issues was really problematic; when I urged them to deal with the situation, they said they needed to consult a colleague... their training seriously needs improvement! At check-out the next day, there wasn't even an apology or a greeting, as if nothing had happened. I strongly advise parents with energetic children NOT to stay at this hotel!

This stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from the train station. Although the room was a bit small, it was spotless, and the bed was perfectly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. Plus, the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It's definitely my top choice for future visits, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the elevators, and the hallways, to our room, there was a fantastic scent management throughout, creating an impressive atmosphere much like a four-star hotel in Japan. The stay was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The mattress had just the right firmness to soothe our tired bodies after a full day of walking and shopping, and the fluffy duvet was also very comfortable. The only drawback was the insufficient parking. Those who arrived late or came back after visiting the night market had to park in the outer car parks. I hope the hotel could consider partnering with the three external car parks around the hotel to offer parking discounts.

The hotel was within walking distance from Chiayi train station, though the walk wasn't the smoothest, causing my luggage to bump quite a bit. It was easy to find, being a white building directly visible from the street. The room was very spacious, and the bed was large, comfortable, and clean. However, the window was a floor-to-ceiling type that opened diagonally and had an opaque white film, which made me wonder about privacy, despite its intention. It was early March and quite cold. Even with the air conditioning off, it was still chilly, so I imagine it would be even colder in the middle of winter. The reception staff weren't unfriendly, but most didn't smile, except for one person. English communication over the phone was difficult, but there were no issues communicating in person using a translator. I just think the staff uniforms could be updated with a more modern design. Hot water in the bathroom took a while to come on, but the drainage was good, so it wasn't a major inconvenience. The breakfast restaurant served what seemed like ********* home-style food; it was clean, and the staff constantly checked to ensure there was enough food. I'd give the cleanliness full marks.

The rooms are simple yet spacious. The location is quite good, but the downside is the limited on-site parking. There are only about 20 spots in the basement and in front of the hotel. If you arrive late, you'll have to find parking nearby. We checked in on a weekend around 9 PM and checked out the next day; parking across the street cost us $430, just for your reference.

For our three-day, two-night family trip, we chose the family room at Riya. The room came with toys (each room is a bit different; ours happened to have a slide perfect for little ones), and there's also a playroom on the second floor. It's reservation-only, and the space is roughly the size of a family room. They don't seem to control the number of people, so it can feel a bit crowded with just 10 people (adults + kids).
