Ho Fong Villa Hotel

This hotel is a good option for those looking to stay conveniently close to the park entrance to catch the small train for the sunrise and sea of clouds the next day. A pleasant surprise was finding a private sauna in the room. However, there's no elevator service, so be prepared for a bit of a workout if you have heavy luggage.

The hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing 😂. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring 😂. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.

The hotel's location is within the Alishan scenic area, close to Alishan Railway Station. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and there's no elevator. The facilities are quite old, and the hygiene was poor. There was dust on the windowsill and along the base of the walls, cobwebs on the clothes rack, and a used cotton swab on the coffee table where the phone was placed. It was also very overpriced.
