Yingshan Hotel

I stayed for two nights to catch the sunrise. The bathroom felt unhygienic with a strange odor, I suspect it was due to poor pipe connections and drainage. The strong smell persisted even after I asked the front desk to clean the room the next morning. Furthermore, the room facilities were very old. The TV had poor picture quality and would turn off automatically.

Perhaps I had managed my expectations beforehand, knowing that mountain hotels shouldn't be held to super high standards. So, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was upon checking in. The double room was quite spacious, and the location is near the post office, not too far from the train station. It's quite a distance to the transfer station, but the hotel offers a shuttle service, which is incredibly thoughtful! Overall, I highly recommend this place.

The Sakura Hotel has an excellent location, right next to Alishan Station. The room design is unique and thoughtfully crafted, blending modern and traditional art. The rooms are clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. From check-in to check-out, every thoughtful detail made us feel incredibly warm and well cared for.

The beds and curtains in the room were a bit old, but it was perfectly livable. The space was quite large, which was nice. Having an elevator was a plus! The location was convenient, and the all-you-can-eat breakfast was great.

After reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! 👍👍👍 The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. 🤣🤣🤣

Great location for a family trip! We had a room for six people. The only downside was that there was no window to the outside, just one facing the hallway. However, the staff were very proactive and helpful, so overall it was a good value for money experience.
