Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile

The room isn't small, and the bed is large and very comfortable. The hotel's location is fantastic. The front desk staff are also very enthusiastic. The hotel has front and back entrances that are connected. There's a Starbucks in the hotel lobby. The exit near the Starbucks leads directly to Magnificent Mile. With your back to the hotel, walking a few hundred meters to your right will take you to the river and the boat tour boarding point, which is super close. If you walk to your left, after a few traffic lights, you'll find the world's largest Starbucks, and further down is the Water Tower.

The hotel is a bit old and the facilities are a little dated, but the location is excellent. It's very popular and often quite busy. The breakfast is decent; you can order waffles and scrambled eggs, but you'll need to tip for those.

It's in the city center, but I had to try my key card three times before it worked. The environment is nice though, for an older hotel.

I had to wait in line for about 30 minutes to check in, as there were St. Patrick's Day events and a basketball tournament happening at the same time. Considering the location, I think the price is quite reasonable.

The hotel facilities are complete, and the environment and location are great. The lobby on the first floor is always lively, with a bar and a bakery selling drinks and pastries. It's right next to a shopping mall, and it's also convenient to walk to the Magnificent Mile. It seems like there's no parking right at the entrance, so taxis always have to stop a bit further away.

First off, the hotel lobby doubles as a bar, which makes it very lively and noisy. The highlight was the really nice guy at the front desk. In the morning, when I went for breakfast, the restaurant host initially told me they couldn't find my breakfast booking and that I'd have to pay separately. Then, while I was eating, a bottle of chili sauce suddenly exploded, splattering all over my clothes, face, and chair. No one from the staff offered to help clean it up or even apologized. My new clothes were ruined. If you enjoy an incredibly noisy environment and terrible service, then I highly recommend this place.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in downtown Chicago, making it super convenient to get around and find places to eat, drink, and have fun. However, one of the front desk agents, a Black woman, was incredibly cold and unfriendly, although everyone else was really warm and helpful. Also, the baggage service at the front desk seems understaffed; if you have a flight to catch, I'd recommend booking it an hour in advance.
