I thought they were a top-notch, 4-star hotel. They are not! They are a 3-star hotel at best. Not to mention they charge you a “resort” fee but yet they have none of the amenities of a resort. I stay at 4-star resorts all the time and this place pales in comparison. They had coffee in the room but no tea. The ice machine on our floor was broken. We went to the one on the next floor and it was either broken or empty. The only restaurant that serves breakfast had construction going on so you couldn’t get breakfast at the hotel until 11am from a 3rd party vendor. They have no swimming pool. No room service. They have no Netflix, Hulu, mobile to TV option, etc. No movie channels. No WGN. You can’t even watch a Cubs game in their hotel! Now this may sound petty but any basic, 4-star hotel (especially one charging a resort fee) would have 24-hour room service; movie channels, movie apps, a swimming pool, channels that feature local news and events, etc. 4-star hotels that charge resort fees have cocktail parties for the guests with free drinks and small bites, they have entertainment, they have multiple in-house food and drink options, they have multiple flavors of tea and coffee in the rooms, etc. Multiple ice machines would not have been broken. And on the small chance that they were a real 4-star hotel would have signage. They would let the guest know. And they would offer to bring ice to your room. That is what I'm used to from 4-star hotels.
