The hotel was average. Reception staff were hard to find at check in. Bar was cash only. Hot water must have been miles away, felt guilty for wasting water for 10 minutes until water became luke warm. Breakfast to start at 7 so we could get to chichen itza early but staff was just starting to setting up breakfast at 7. Needs some better management.

This hotel was the site of a violent siege on in February, 2022. I did not know this when I booked. I showed up for my reservation, and they told me they had no record of my payment because they “changed companies.” They told me I would have to pay my reservation all over again, even though I had written documentation of having already paid. They showed me no documentation of a change of management company. When pressed, they said the “government took over the hotel.” Do not book with them! They are nothing but a scam at this point.

We stayed at this magnificently beautiful yet very cozy place with my wife and 4 kids at New Years Eve. The environment is amazing. Huge trees, fantastic landscaping, big spacious rooms and very high level service. We were so happy to celebrate the New 2022 Year in this inspiring place. It's proximity to the famous Chicken Itza monument makes the Lodge truly special. Very helpful staff arranged a whole set of experiences for us, including guided tour to the Mayan archeological sites, cenotes, even Mayan cooking class! Overall 5 star and definitely worth visiting again.

They canceled on me the last minute. I couldn't contact them. After a week they sent me a message that they got overrun by armed ***** and they can't ensure my safety. Very disappointed in Mayaland, we had kidds to so we had ro find a place to stay. Of course we only got a expensive hotel, it not easy findin a place the last minute. Do nat book at Mayaland!

We had a really nice one night stay at this property. The property was very quiet/empty, and not taking reservations on the website. The hotel staff said that it is because it is currently changing owners, but that travelers may be able to call to make a reservation. I want to thank the tour guide that the hotel arranged - Jaime, though I might not be spelling that right. He used an iPad to show old photos of the site's history, and brought us around the site efficiently while pointing out interesting details on the ruins with a laser pointer. He many wonderful photos of our family at the site - he is a very good photographer and got well-lighted photos of us without others in many of them (and then airdropped them to us). We had done a 7:45 am tour to get to the site before the crowds. We really enjoyed the photos later. Thank you! Also, we thought that the food was very good - because there were so few groups staying, we ordered our own items, and had a delicious dinner and full breakfast (visited by a large peacock). We had a comfortable family bungalow which was beautiful with nice bathrooms, and the kids enjoyed the hammocks on the porch, and the pool outside our doorstep.

Great hotel next to the park. Blends with the jungle surrounding it, which is the best part of this hotel. Pools are nice and a cool respite from the heat. We took a tour arranged by the hotel. They pick you up and drop off at the hotel. Service was great from everybody. Restaurant food is OK. Cell phone and wifi is poor to non existent at cabins. Better at restaurant and lobby. Great place to disconnect and enjoy nature.
