review of ramghat inn - a disappointing experience **overall rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)** booking and check-in experience
my experience at ramghat inn began with significant frustration at check-in. despite having a confirmed booking , the hotel staff initially claimed they were fully booked and tried to turn us away. only after showing multiple confirmations and engaging in lengthy discussions did they acknowledge our reservation. we were then made to wait for an inexcusable 2.5 hours before being assigned a room. room issues
the room we received was not what we had paid for. despite specifically booking and paying for an ac room, we were given a non-ac room with no explanation or compensation offered. the room size was remarkably small, making it difficult to move around or store luggage comfortably. basic amenities were lacking, and the overall room quality was well below acceptable standards. cleanliness and maintenance
the cleanliness standards were alarmingly poor:
* visible dust and dirt on surfaces
* unkempt bathroom facilities
* stained linens
* general lack of regular maintenance
* unpleasant odors in the room location - the only positive
the sole redeeming quality of ramghat inn is its location. the hotel's proximity to key attractions and convenience for local transportation cannot be denied. however, this single advantage is thoroughly overshadowed by the numerous issues we encountered. service quality
the staff's handling of our booking situation was unprofessional and showed a clear lack of customer service training. the initial denial of our confirmed booking and the extended wait time demonstrated poor management and organizational skills. value for money
given the significant discrepancy between what was promised (ac room) and what was provided (non-ac room), combined with the cleanliness issues and poor service, this hotel offers extremely poor value for money. conclusion
i strongly advise potential guests to consider alternative accommodations. the only positive aspect - location - is not worth enduring the multiple issues this property presents. the combination of booking problems, room discrepancies, poor cleanliness, and substandard service makes this hotel an establishment to avoid.. i have not taken any photos, however you can visit room no 208 and look yourself.
