Yummyhill hostel

This was my first time visiting Chongqing, and this hostel was my base. I stumbled upon it online, where a couple raved about it being the 'best hostel in Chongqing.' My previous hostel experience was just once, and I remembered it having terrible soundproofing and a poor environment. However, this place completely changed my perception of hostels! It has a huge common area with dining tables, a night bar, a bar with places to chat, a card room, and even a co-working space. The bathrooms are also incredibly spacious – the public restrooms and showers are similar to what I experienced near Incheon Airport in Korea, with individual shower stalls and a vanity area. Everything was very clean and hygienic! Although the rooms are dorms, they felt quite spacious. The bunk beds had ample space, and the wooden frames were high-quality and didn't creak. Surprisingly, the beds were incredibly soft and comfortable... I slept so well! They even provided earplugs and offered pillows of different heights to accommodate various preferences. Even with the price increase during the Spring Festival, it was still very affordable! I really appreciate the small details of this hostel ❤️. When I checked in, the front desk even gave me a small red envelope with some cute local goodies inside! The staff were all handsome and beautiful, and very nice 👍🏻. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing, and if they open one in Chengdu, I'll be there!

The hygiene and facilities were much better than I expected. It's super close to the subway, which is great if you're coming back late, haha. Everyone was really friendly, and the open-air balcony was perfect for a relaxing evening breeze. There are also cats you can pet, and they're all very well-behaved. Just remember to close the door when you come in, or the cats might run right in! 🏃 Looking forward to my next stay.

Excellent! I came with high expectations and wasn't disappointed. The facilities, service, and environment are all great. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Chongqing. I only discovered as I was leaving that they have the complete Demon Slayer manga collection – I'll have to finish reading it on my next visit! One suggestion: please change the two posters at the bar. As a feminist, I found them quite uncomfortable.

This hostel is in a fantastic location, right above a subway station, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm, and the bed space was really generous, with hooks for clothes and bags. When you pull the curtain, it feels like your own little world. The communal areas are pretty cool – there's a dining bar where you can eat takeout, and the hostel's own canteen food is delicious. They even have a balcony where you can relax and chat. The women's restrooms and showers were spotless, and I especially loved the dedicated vanity area, which made getting ready so much easier! A really thoughtful touch is the sleep supplies area, offering different types of pillows to choose from – perfect for someone like me who's particular about pillows. And I absolutely adored the hostel's cat; it's super cute and cuddly. Overall, this hostel is incredibly thoughtful, detailed, and has a real human touch. It made a solo traveler like me feel right at home. For anyone coming to Chongqing, I highly recommend this place; it's excellent!

Thanks, Eats Mountain! I originally planned to stay only two nights this time, then move to a hotel for the next two. My reason was that I was worried about having a strong withdrawal reaction after getting too comfortable here. But I couldn't resist and ended up extending my stay by one night. For all three nights, I was in the board game room. The first day we played until 2 AM, the second day we chatted and played until 3:30 AM, and the third day we talked until it was time to say 'good morning' (5:30 AM!). These past few days have been so happy and I'm truly grateful. I met so many like-minded friends, and it felt great to open up and share my story and listen to others'. I feel alive again! On the last night, everyone's faces were painted like 'little cats' – haha, what a lovely bunch of people! My friend said, 'We'll meet again if fate allows,' and yes, I truly hope we do. I wish Eats Mountain stays forever young and remains a safe harbor. Looking forward to my next story here.

Traveling solo was a fantastic experience! Everyone at the hostel was so lovely, the food was delicious, and the cats were adorable. I met a lot of friendly people and even found some great friends to explore with for a few days. The place was very clean, the mattress was super soft, and the soundproofing was excellent. The location is incredibly convenient; even in Chongqing, where navigation can be tricky, it's right outside the subway exit. Plus, there's a fantastic and affordable noodle shop downstairs!
