My stay at Mangeng Mansion was delightful. The architecture, an old European-style building, creates a wonderful ambiance. The hotel is situated within the Kai Fu Site Park, offering a peaceful environment that belies its central location – it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The butler service was also incredibly attentive and thoughtful, always responding promptly to any needs. The room was clean and comfortable. In my leisure time, I could enjoy the river view right from the hotel's lawn. It's definitely worth a stay!

Coming to Chongqing for the National Day holiday, I chose this hotel. It allowed me to avoid the crowded areas like Hongyadong for my stay, yet still reach Hongyadong and Chaotianmen quickly by cable car or taxi, which was very convenient. The hotel is located within the historical park of Chongqing's opening port. You can walk to the South Station of the Yangtze River Cableway, Longmenhao Old Street, and Xiahaoli, making it incredibly easy to explore and find food. The building itself is full of history, built in 1923, it was formerly the site of the British Asiatic Petroleum Company and even served as the British Embassy during the Anti-Japanese War. Today, it has been transformed into a hotel with a charming Republic of China era style. The residence is situated at a high point at the foot of Nanshan Mountain, directly facing the Yuzhong Peninsula, offering excellent views of both the river by day and the city lights by night. The bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful sleep. The butler service was also incredibly heartwarming and accommodating – they were always there to help. Excellent value for money!

The hotel is located in the heart of Nanbin Road, right within a cluster of century-old historic buildings, giving it a rich cultural heritage. We booked a river-view room, and the view was completely unobstructed – the night scenery was absolutely perfect. The bedding was comfortable, and the butler service was attentive. From now on, whenever I come to Chongqing, I'll only choose Mangeng.

Looking out the window, you could see the expansive river scenery – the river by day and the city lights by night, it was truly therapeutic. The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk also patiently recommended local eateries and routes. Thanks to this stay, Chongqing left a wonderful impression on me. The hotel's location, service, and views are all major pluses, offering great value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chongqing and I'll definitely stay here again next time.

I recently stayed at the Chongqing Man Geng Mansion and booked two rooms, a twin room and a terrace river view room, for four consecutive nights. Overall, the experience was excellent. Among the many established hotels in Chongqing, this one stands out with its unique floor design and decor, blending modern style with classic mansion architecture. It boasts a prime river view, offering panoramic vistas of Chongqing, the 'Mountain City.' The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and proactively attentive throughout my stay. The hotel's private river view platform is a major highlight, perfect for families with children. Kids can play freely and safely on the platform. During my stay, the mansion was hosting a Burberry-themed event, which guests could book to visit, adding a nice touch to the experience. For those traveling by car, it's also very convenient. There are parking spaces right outside the hotel entrance, and parking isn't a problem. Overall, everything was top-notch, and I highly recommend this mansion to anyone visiting Chongqing.

This is an excellent hotel that I absolutely love! The service is superb, the bedding and toiletries are great, and everything is very clean. The butler was also incredibly thoughtful, providing fresh fruit platters and healthy drinks every day, and the mini-bar was well-stocked. **Bird's Nest/Peach Gum Warm Soup:** Very delicious. **Exquisite Fruit Platter:** The fruit platter was the most impressive – always incredibly fresh and a good variety of fruits every day. The quality and freshness far exceeded the fruit offered at many other five-star hotels.

Came to Chongqing with my sister for Wang Leehom's concert and chose to stay at the Mangeng Mansion. Everything here was fantastic! Both the hotel's exterior environment and internal facilities are impeccable, full of Republic of China charm! Our room balcony overlooked the Yangtze River Cableway – the view was absolutely stunning 😊. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony in the morning, which was a perfect start to the day! Oh, a special thanks to the hotel for the small cake they prepared for my sister 🧁. And definitely try the hotel's travel photoshoot service; the photographer, Yao Yao, has amazing candid shot skills! 😃

This hotel deserves a perfect score, and I absolutely have to write a detailed review. First, let's talk about the location. It's nestled within Kaiyuan Park on Nanbin Road, right next to the Yangtze River Cableway South Station and Longmenhao Old Street, making it convenient to get anywhere. At night, the view of the Yuzhong Peninsula across the river from the room is unparalleled – much more comfortable than being squeezed in with crowds at Hongyadong. Next, the room. We booked a river-view room. While not particularly spacious, the layout was very well-designed. The amenities were thoughtfully chosen: Diptyque toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, and a Mousse mattress. The mini-bar drinks and snacks were all complimentary, which was a huge plus. The bathroom had excellent wet and dry separation, and the brass bathtub was incredibly comfortable for a soak, with stable water pressure. I particularly want to praise the service. A day before check-in, a butler added me on WeChat to ask about my arrival time and any dietary restrictions. Upon arrival, staff helped with luggage and brought it to the room, also providing detailed information on local sightseeing routes. In the evening, a complimentary sweet soup was delivered to the room, which tasted great. Breakfast could be scheduled for delivery to the room, and the Chinese set meal was quite generous, with porridge, noodles, and fruit. As for hygiene, there was nothing to fault. The bedding was clean and soft, and there were no water stains in the bathroom corners. For a hotel converted from an old building, achieving this level of cleanliness is truly impressive. Soundproofing was also better than expected, and we had a very quiet night's sleep. Overall, this is a hotel that combines historical charm with modern quality. If you want to experience the taste of old Chongqing without compromising on accommodation standards, the Mangeng Mansion is an excellent choice. I will definitely stay here again with my family when we next visit Chongqing.

The open-air bar offers direct views of the Yangtze River. This collision of historical heritage and modern comfort is truly refreshing. What made me happiest was the hotel's meticulous attention to detail. The room was equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and Diptyque toiletries, and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. For someone like me who loves night views, being able to stand by the window and overlook the dazzling lights of the Yangtze River and the Yuzhong Peninsula offered an experience hard to find anywhere else.
