Facilities: Pretty standard. Two double beds can accommodate four people, but there's only one chair in the room, so nowhere to really sit. The bathroom is on the small side, and the inward-opening door makes it feel even more cramped. There are outlets by the bed, but one of them was broken and couldn't charge anything.
Cleanliness: An auntie came to clean every day. On one occasion, one of the beds wasn't made. We got back late and didn't bother complaining.
Ambiance: It's essentially a tall building filled with serviced apartments. There are many elevators. Since it's a high-rise, the windows can't be opened, and secondhand smoke often lingers in the corridors. The elevators are relatively empty in the mornings and evenings, but during the day, you sometimes have to wait a long time. You might also encounter cleaning staff pushing their carts, which means an even longer wait.
Service: The front desk is on the 24th floor, and you can store luggage there. I didn't experience any other services. We couldn't close a window and asked for staff to come and help; it took almost an hour for someone to arrive. There were no chairs in the room, and they didn't offer to bring any; we had to go and get them ourselves.
Location: It's quite close to the subway station, and taxis are very convenient. A ride-hailing service from the airport costs around 35 yuan. Taxis in Chongqing are very cheap; I think they're better value than the subway, so I recommend taking taxis. It's not very close to Guanyinqiao commercial area, about 2 kilometers away. Most tourist attractions aren't too far, but there aren't many dining options nearby; you'll need to take a car to eat out. There are late-night food stalls downstairs, but we bought some 'liangxia' (cold shrimp jelly) which was absolutely terrible, even the peanuts were stale.😅
