Regent Chongqing

Absolutely loved my stay at Regent Chongqing during Chinese New Year! It was such an emotional boost. Every morning I’d spend ages in the restaurant, just feasting (so good!). Waiting for the lion dance and various gods to appear, and getting red envelopes from them (the lions and gods would interact with guests at each table in the restaurant). The breakfast pastries had different delightful touches every day, which made me so happy. In the evenings, the two bars had incredible views, giving off a vibe of extravagant decadence. I just loved indulging and chilling out every day. Service was truly responsive to every request, always thorough, patient, gentle, and never annoyed. They were there whenever you needed them, but without being overly enthusiastic or overwhelming. The balance was just perfect – that’s a huge plus! On checkout day, an important document accidentally blew under the car. The security guard and the manager at the entrance got down on the ground, blowing and fishing it out for me. Super impressive! I have to praise the complimentary Chongqing noodles in the room. Regent's noodles really do have a unique texture! They’re something special! I had to slurp down a bowl every morning at breakfast. When I left, I ended up buying three extra boxes… These few days in the bustling city of Chongqing were truly joyful! Everywhere I went, I had this illusion that I was about to become rich (just kidding, but not really). The massive golden tree, the auspicious lions, all sorts of gold ingots, gold coin chocolates, a well-stocked mini-bar with drinks, and various Chongqing snacks provided daily! As someone in advertising, I have to say the ambiance here is masterfully done. The brand positioning is so well maintained. Full of emotional value ✅. PS. The room facilities are new and complete, and cleanliness is excellent, no complaints. This was a luxury hotel experience, a perk of being a Trip.com Black Diamond member. I happened to get a Sunday booking, so I brought my child along. Here's my take: **Pros:** 1. **Excellent Location:** Situated in the heart of Jiangbeizui Financial Center, offering prime river views. Diamond Plaza is right downstairs, making it great for families with kids. 2. **Room:** Spacious and very private, with a classic Hong Kong-style design that pays attention to Feng Shui. 3. **Service:** Very attentive, with housekeeping responding promptly to all requests. **Cons:** Breakfast variety was a bit limited, not quite matching up to the InterContinental next door. The restaurant is also on the first floor, so the views aren't great, but the food quality itself was good – a minor flaw that doesn't overshadow its overall appeal. **Summary:** Meets all the criteria of a top-tier luxury hotel. Highly recommended.

Stayed for two nights with the kids, and all the staff were incredibly warm and polite. The room was spotless, with thoughtful touches everywhere – truly considerate! We'll definitely choose the Regent Hotel again next time we're in Chongqing.

The river view room offers a fantastic view of Hongyadong. Regent provides a generous amount of amenities, including mouthwash, facial masks, and various bath scrub products – they pretty much have everything you could ask for. What's interesting is that the hotel provides binoculars for in-room sightseeing, along with a few intriguing books about Chongqing's history. I highly recommend 'Paper Drunk Gold.' I didn't make it to breakfast... so I missed out. I ordered room service for brunch instead, and the braised pork rice and fruit platter were pretty good. The fruit was very fresh, refined, and diverse. It would have been perfect if the braised pork sauce was a little less salty.

It was impressive that when I called customer service, they already knew my name – it felt very personal. I especially want to highlight the gentleman at the concierge desk by the entrance; he was very friendly and always smiling. His manner of speaking was very elegant, almost like one of our 'Old Shanghai 'Kele' (a term for a refined, old-school Shanghai gentleman). Custom Bath Menu Service: It was great that I could arrange a bath every day, and the bubble bath was fantastic. Laundry Service: Finally, I don't have to worry about not having a place to dry my clothes when I travel – Regent does a great job with this! You can have two items washed per person each day!

The view from the luxurious river-view room was absolutely stunning; I could just lie in bed and take in the dazzling nightscape of the Jialing River. The room was impeccably clean, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were complete and brand new – a truly exceptional stay that exceeded all expectations. The hotel's environment was also flawless. The lobby was grand and elegant, and the public areas were neat and orderly, creating a wonderful ambiance. The most pleasant surprise was the service; every staff member, from the concierge to the front desk, was warm, attentive, and always willing to help. They were considerate without being intrusive, truly making me feel at home. The dishes at the Chinese restaurant were also a delightful surprise. The flavors were authentic, the presentation exquisite, and every bite was a pleasure – easily on par with professional restaurants. Whether it's the facilities, service, cleanliness, or environment, the Regent scored full marks. It's definitely the pinnacle of hotels in Chongqing. I wouldn't hesitate to choose it again on my next visit to Chongqing, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

The hotel's bedding was comfortable, and the view from the window perfectly captured the essence of Chongqing. The room's cleanliness and the staff's service were excellent. The customized bath menu offered several great options, which my family really appreciated.

Service: From the concierge downstairs to the room service staff, everyone was responsive and had an excellent service attitude. Custom Bath Menu Service: Perhaps it was too busy during the holidays, but the staff only delivered the bath salts and didn't help set up the bath. However, it's worth mentioning that the hotel thoughtfully provided a disposable bathtub liner. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

This was my first time visiting Chongqing, and I chose the Regent Hotel based on online recommendations. If service were rated on a scale of ten, they'd get a perfect score. The service team here is incredibly synchronized; they handle things with high efficiency, respond quickly, and process requests smoothly, showing a great understanding of each other's roles. Their greetings and communication never slow down their work, and there's no need to contact a butler privately – everything is handled openly and professionally. Upon check-in, guests receive a Frederic Malle skincare lotion. Complimentary snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages are refilled daily. Each guest can have three items of clothing laundered per day, returned to their 'butler's cabinet' within half a day – perfect for freshening up after hotpot. They offer three different types of bubble baths, and two face masks are provided daily. At breakfast, they proactively offer to pack up any unfinished bread, coffee, and yogurt. If you order takeout, just note your room number, and the concierge will deliver it directly to your room. The sofa can be converted into a bed, and they'll ask you if you need this service upon arrival. When checking out, they even gave us Chongqing noodles as a gift, and when my child left something behind, housekeeping checked, contacted us, and arranged to have it mailed back. I haven't experienced this level of proactive service at any other hotel so far. It truly made a fantastic impression, and I will definitely choose the Regent again on my next visit.
