Choosing to stay at Vanli was a really smart decision for our spontaneous trip. Although it's a bit out of the way, it wasn't inconvenient at all for us as we were driving. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel is perfect for families with kids. The facilities are complete, and we especially loved the pool – the water was clean, with a large main pool and a smaller one with a slide, which the kids absolutely adored and didn't want to leave. There are also small animals to see, and you can even go fishing at the hotel. It's a great place for a relaxing vacation.

The hotel was quite busy on Saturday when I checked in, so I had to delay my check-in time. The hotel manager was kind enough to upgrade us to a party room, which was very spacious. The room was great, and the front desk thoughtfully upgraded us. The hotel environment is very nice, and you can enjoy lake views directly while having breakfast. Hygiene: Not good at all. I felt like I was bitten by bugs while sleeping, and the next day my legs were covered in red spots. The kids' play area was also messy and small. The worst part was that out of the four bone plates we got for lunch in the restaurant, one of them was unwashed and still had leftover noodles on it! 😂 Environment: Although there's a lake, it looks more like a regular river, completely unlike the pictures of Qiandao Lake online. Maybe it's too remote. Service: Most of the staff were older locals, and while they were kind, it didn't feel like a proper hotel. Facilities: The facilities were old and worn out. The toilet seat even had yellow stains. Finally, it's just too far away. I thought having a car would make it easy to get around, but it takes at least half an hour one way to get out. Going back and forth, plus waiting in line at restaurants, just going out for a meal took over 3 hours (there are no restaurants or delivery services near the hotel). I brought my family here for a few days' vacation and we pretty much stayed within the hotel. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, surrounded by mountains on three sides, making it very quiet. We were kindly upgraded to a larger room with a spacious balcony, perfect for relaxing. Next to the breakfast restaurant is a fairly large indoor kids' play area, and on the basement level, there's an outdoor infinity pool. The staff were all very enthusiastic. In the evening, they offered complimentary bayberry sweet soup, which the kids loved, and you could even get more from the lobby. The location is quite far from the city center, about a 30-minute drive away. At night, there are no streetlights until you reach the hotel entrance, and you can't order food delivery. It's more suitable for self-driving travelers. The room is spacious, but it has a strong musty smell. Every time I entered the room, it felt a bit unpleasant. The bedding felt damp, and the bottled water had a strange taste that made us hesitant to drink much of it. There were many small black bugs, like mosquitoes, by the pool, and their bites caused itchy bumps.
