1000 Island Lake Greentown Resort Hotel

What a letdown! 😭 I saw this place promoted on Xiaohongshu, and everyone raved about the beautiful lake views. I decided to visit in September during the off-season, but it was nothing like I imagined. I wanted to leave the same night. Greentown Resort Hotel is actually an apartment building, a mix of private residences and hotel-style apartments, so it's always bustling with people. Buildings 1-6 are clustered together, and Building 1 even has three units. It gets incredibly crowded on weekends and holidays. The breakfast area is shockingly located in the B1 garage. After 8:00 AM, it's packed, with lines extending into the garage – a terrible experience. Plus, there's hardly anything to eat, just eggs and boiled noodles. You can bring pets for an 80 RMB cleaning fee, but there are no other services. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, but their menus and dishes are almost identical. This hotel mostly caters to retirees and families with children. The facilities are subpar. Parents primarily take their kids to the hotel's pool and kids' play area. There's really nothing for young people to do. I don't recommend it.

Staying in Building 1 of Greentown, our room with a large balcony directly faced Qiandao Lake, which really set the perfect vacation mood. The staff in the breakfast area were kind and friendly, and the food selection was rich and varied. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast while admiring the lake view. Our dedicated butler provided thoughtful assistance throughout our stay, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service and highly recommend it for family trips.

The hotel has an excellent location with beautiful lake views and stunning sunsets. There are many restaurants downstairs, just a few minutes' walk away, and it's also very convenient to get to the pier. The hotel butler service is exceptional.

Booked the new Building 1 and got upgraded to a higher floor with a nice lake view. The breakfast offers great value for money, and the underground parking is very convenient. The only downside is that the air conditioning temperature couldn't be adjusted, making it a bit cold. The area around the hotel is also quite pleasant.

An excellent hotel! The room was clean and tidy with a lovely lake view. The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the staff were very warm and attentive, especially Xiaoqian, who helped me with all my requests. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Qiandao Lake!

The hotel called in advance to confirm my arrival, and Xiao Qian's service was very thoughtful. They even upgraded me to a lake-view room for free, which had great scenery. The hotel also has a pool, but unfortunately I didn't bring a swimsuit this time. I'll definitely consider booking this place again if I come back to Qiandao Lake.

The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space which was very comfortable. Having a high-floor twin room with a sofa bed for three people was really accommodating. The lake view was beautiful, and cycling around the lake, enjoying the breeze, and seeing the iconic buildings was also a nice experience. Unfortunately, on our first day, a Friday, we encountered typhoon restrictions, so all attractions were closed, and we couldn't go to the island. Luckily, everything opened up the next day; otherwise, this three-day, two-night trip would have been a real shame. We'll definitely come again if we have the chance.

The location is excellent! You can enjoy a panoramic view of Qiandao Lake right from the hotel balcony. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. The surrounding amenities are also great, with coffee shops, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, which is super convenient. It was a wonderful experience overall.
