We have read many reviews, and we do not agree with the negative. The situation in Sumba is a good and very guest-friendly accommodation, where the driven manager helps young people to live in the tourism. Negative sounds such as ”no WIFI”, ”old” or ”not eating well” are a disgusting behaviour of individuals who call themselves travellers who do not look beyond their own luxury life and do not deepen in local populations and conditions. We were there during the elections and the owner had decided to close the hotel for security, but our reservation was long and they just kept the door open to us; We were the only guests, but they were very well sought to make us wet and dry. This is at least sustainable for the locals. It is not four stars to the western scale, but certainly Sumba! Peter and Ilona
