Due to the impact of wildfires in Jasper National Park, our original reservation in Jasper was canceled, so we changed our reservation to a nearby hotel so that we could go to the Columbia Icefield. This hotel has mixed reviews on the Internet, and it was a bit a bit confusing when we first booked it. I was worried, but after actually moving in, I felt that this motel was great. It covers a vast area, has beautiful scenery, has a restaurant (we didn't go to eat), a gas station (if we went to refuel, we gave a small discount), it was small Although the store is relatively old, the rooms have been renovated and the stay is quite comfortable. The staff at the counter are Chinese and can communicate in Chinese. They are very kind. They lent us a hot water kettle to boil water and introduced us to private scenic spots such as waterfalls. It was really Thank you very much. Don’t use a magnifying glass to examine this hotel. It is a great hotel and worth recommending.

The lodge-style room was nice, but the room key was not working properly and kept beeping, making it difficult to adjust.

Very bad experience. There was no one at check-in and the waiter was off work. It was all self-service. The surrounding area was a large forest that had been burned by fire. It was very scary. I suggest you not come and drive more than 40 kilometers. It’s not worth it. I’m very scared of the big forest being burned down.

Used to be a nice place but it’s not. When we checked in, there was a mouse trap in the room. I didn’t really think of it as we were hungry and proceeded to the cafe. Right after our late lunch, we headed out to Abraham Lake. When we came back later that evening, we saw a mouse in the room and the mouse trap was gone - so they went inside our room after we had checked in. Upon check out, I told reception that there was a mouse and the receptionist pretended he didn’t know about it. I said told them about the mouse trap and that’s when he said they’ve been trying to catch it. No apology or anything. I don’t recommend this place at all. Never coming back unless there’s a change in ownership.

This place used to be so nice , the mini golf was clean & well kept , we took our family in August 24 , the golf clubs were broken , the golf course was unkept , the whole place is a disaster , they used to have flowers & humming bird feeders , now the only plants you see is weeds . Don’t waste your time stopping there , their prices in the store are high as well . We will never stop in there again . There are nicer places to stop .

Campground sites are great. Cafe great and friendly. However washrooms in campground and cafe unclean. This lets the place down otherwise would have given better review. It is in a stunning location with Abraham Lake nearby and waterfall hikes

The breakfast waitress was the most phenomenal, funny, and generous waitress I ever had! Me and my family LOVED her personality and enjoyed coming down to the restaurant to see her. She had amazing humour and her service was above and beyond!

It was probably a wonderful place when it was built, but it is now decrepit and falling apart. We found litter on the ground at the campsites but walking aroudn the campground too. Garbage bins were overflowing badly when we left on Sunday, definitely not bear proof. Showers were scalding hot - you could not even stand under it to wash your hair. Store was dirty, messy and staff not interested in helping. Cowboy breakfast was delicious. Next time we will stay at a provincial campground instead.

Booked for 3 days. Booked a full service site. We arrived a day late. After on day we decided to go. No refund. Electricity not working. Water tap was leaking. Maintenance crew showed up. Tried to help with electricity to no avail. Water-tap kept on leaking. Toilets very dirty, not usable. Restaurant is more like a cafeteria. Never go there.

We were there for three nights in the campground the bathrooms were not cleaned once and are not heated at all. We didn’t use the pay for showers because the bathrooms were so dirty. Wifi in the campground was nonexistent. The discount I got on gas was $0.17 on $50 of gas. If you are camping there are lots of primitive campgrounds and Nordegg has showers and laundry.

The resort is located on the Abraham Lake, and the scenery is very beautiful. I was lucky to encounter the Aurora during my stay. The resort staff said that the Aurora can be seen here frequently. The restaurant in the resort is also very good, with good food and high cost performance.

I was worried based on previous reviews, rooms were renovated/clean, but basic (not a bad basic just plain), bathrooms were really nice. There’s a hidden pub in the forest at night (decently priced not gauging). The restaurant was really good (awesome smoked meats). Park for kids. Views amazing, close to walking trails and Abraham Lake. Short drive to Nordegg and many fishing spots. Nice areas to walk there’s camp ground, cabins and motel. We stayed in the motel. Wifi wasn’t the best from motel rooms (but did the trick for basic use), at the office/ restaurants it was good, but that didn’t bother us as we were there for the nature - just important to note if you could be required for emergencies. TV in room with satellite tv and various channels (sports/womens/news/kids) Staff was very friendly - I had no issues with staff. It was really quiet and easy to get rest at night. I will def. Return.

We were worried having read some reviews, but we should not have. The motel rooms are newly renovated, spacious and well equipped. The wifi is strong even in the rooms, even though it is only supposed to work in the common areas. The motel is very clean, there is plenty and very strong hot water. The resort is situated in the middle of the Rockies …. Absolutely amazing scenery … and the restaurant is amazing, the BBQ, brisket, pulled pork and the pork ribs were amazing - highly recommended for a visit
