Metropolitan at the 9, Autograph Collection

Booked a last-minute one-night stay and it was perfect—clean, comfortable, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. We also spent the rest of our night at The Vault, which was such a fun bonus. Great location overall. Would definitely stay again.

I had a peaceful stay. How often do you clean the floors? The floor was a little gritty other than that.. wonderful place to experience!

Unfortunately our room was dirty. Lint / dust on the coffee tray, sugar spilled all over it as well. Bathtub was dirty and had hair in it. Our coffee lids were dirty as well. The manager did take care of the issue promptly.

The staff and the overall building were exceptional. The location is top notch. The room was actually very nice aside from the fact that the bathroom tile smelled like the streets of San Francisco. It smelled like pee and humans, essentially. I don't know if they ever clean the tile in the rooms. That and the lack of sound proof (I get it, it's an old bank) are really my only complaints or "points against" the experience. The gym was amazing. Best hotel gym I've ever used and I would highly recommend. The staff were truly exceptional. I just don't know why they'd let the room actually smell bad. As long as we kept the door closed it wasn't a massive problem but at least once I caught a whiff of lingering pee smell. Sort of disappointed for an otherwise very expensive room. I made sure to remove all the linens and pillow cases in an effort to save the next guest some time / comfort that the bedding was changed. Just sort of weird. If the bathroom didn't smell like pee it would have otherwise been a mostly wonderful, albeit expensive, hotel stay.

The only negative is that if you plan on using the gym, there is no connectivity at gym level, not even in house wi-fi. If you can’t workout without tunes app you’re out of luck. They have above average equipment selection, but previous guests did not know how to re-rack equipment. Do not expect order and don’t blame staff, some guests think their mommy works there. Beside that, staff was courteous and helpful.

I've stayed at the Metropolitan swveral times. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very nice and clean. I have never had the breakfast, but the reataurant has very good food, and LOVE the Vault! Great atmosphere and the drinks are always very, very good!

Clean, modern room. Helpful staff during busy event weekend. Off-season so some amenities were not available but close to downtown Cleveland attractions.
