The Clinton Inn

We chose this Inn because it was close to the friends we were visiting for a graduation party. It was a delightful experience from beginning to end. It’s not a new building so it has some creaks and cracks, but the ambience was fabulous. There’s no front desk, but a staff member came to meet us and the check in process was easy. We decided to extend out start and again the staff was so accommodating despite the inconvenience it caused them. I would stay here again.

Small town but to be expected in this area of Michigan. You can tell the owners of this property are taking painstaking efforts to restore this building to its original and beautiful condition. Everything is as original as they could keep it and the decor and atmosphere is beautiful. It was like stepping back in time.

This was a sweet trip back in history. They only have three rooms renovated so far so it certainly wasnt crowded. The building is a historic inn and old, so dont stay here if you like sterile chain hotels. Stay here if you like history, high ceilings, uneven plaster walls and 1900's ambience. The room was clean, the bed big and comfy, our room had a small kitchenette. There's a great antique store next door, if I hadnt been flying home I would have bought a lot more! We loved this place.

A lot of potential...but in need of major upgrades Old hotel with a lot of potential...but not there yet. Being restored, but a lot of work yet to be done. Room was fairly comfortably equipped, but unable to control temperature of the room adequately. Hotel has radiant heat which is centrally controlled, and window unit A/C which was very drafty and cold. Space heater provided, but afraid to use while sleeping, so night time was quite cold. Common areas of the hotel were old and quite dated...major facelift needed.

A property if you like old world class. Just the stairs to rooms are a challenge but well worth it

Wonderful stay The room was so spacious and clean. I loved the extra amenities they offered. Wasn't sure what to expect with them, but they definitely exceeded them. We definitely plan to stay with them whenever we come Michigan.
