I placed a booking to stay at this hotel in September 2024 for The Great North Run. After placing my booking I read the reviews on Trip Advisor. I should have done this before placing my booking. I have never seen a hotel with so many bad reviews, and as a solo traveller, I had serious concerns about staying in the hotel. So I cancelled my booking immediately and I knew the cancellation policy said I would be entitled to a refund. However I did not receive a refund so called the hotel but struggled to get through. So I emailed them. I did call them again and got through, and they confirmed a full refund would be issued. However I still have not had a refund and have now raised a dispute with my bank.
