Lovely low priced hotel, great staff and location.

Friendly helpful staff, large rooms, beautiful decor, amazing value for money

The hotel is very poorly maintained. Iron rust came out of the tea kettle, I washed it many times and it did not go away. I am leaving the photo… Although it was cold at night, the heaters were not turned on. And the glass was broken and the air was leaking. I did not sleep all night with the terrible noise.

Bed was so hard and old. We ended up leaving a day early. Needs so much work doing to the rooms. Loud news for outside it needs second glazing.

good travel

On the plus side the breakfast was great, the staff were friendly and the hotel is in a superb central position. However, the room was very dated and didn't appear to have been refurbished since the 1980s. It was absolutely filthy with thick dust and dubious stains, the ancient mattress didn't fit the bed properly and had springs coming through it. The shower was the polar opposite of a power shower and only produced a lukewarm dribble. The tea and coffee was never replenished and the single tiny teacup in the room wasn't replaced with a clean one for the entire stay. The walls are paper thin so it was possible to hear everything going on in the other rooms. I wouldn't stay here again.

The antique hotel that existed decades ago has not been restored. But it’s still very convenient to go shopping and eat, just in town.
