This historical building and hotel sits in the heart of Colmar. You are walking distance from all of the attractions and venues that Colmar has to offer. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful. From the front desk clerk to the housekeeping team. The hotel has an old world charm with its unique and ornate facade and building, yet inside it has been totally updated with modern decor and furnishings, from the lobby to the guest rooms and bathrooms which are quite spacious for such an old building. Everything was immaculately clean from the beautiful entry courtyard to the lobby and interior rooms. The bed, pillows and duvet cover were all extremely comfortable and clean. As for the hotel’s location, it is in the heart of the Alsace region. You are literally less than an hour, in any direction, from the top places to visit, such as Strasbourg and all of the nearby fairytale towns and castles. The topography around Colmar is that of vineyards, rolling hills, and mountains to the east where you can see Germany at a distance. We had breakfast every morning in their casual restaurant and the food and service was exceptional. We did not have an opportunity to have dinner at their Michelin restaurant. However, we were told by other guest that it was very good. If you are driving, make sure to reserve a parking spot with the hotel in advance, as parking is limited. I believe the rate is 25.00 Euros per night. We hope to return in the near future. ————————

My wife and I just spent a wonderful three nights at this 5 star hotel. Our room was large and very comfortable, the bath spacious and the service outstanding. Everything that Colmar has to offer was right outside the door. We reserved a parking space before arriving, which proved very convenient for our tour of neighboring villages. Our meals at the Brasserie Historique were very good and we highly recommended it.

Very nice Hotel ! In the historical center. Well situated to visit. Well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, clean, well equipped and quiet ! Two very good restaurants : one star, one traditional. Giving the choice of what you want…in the morning excellent breakfast served at your table, with a comprehensive choice. Staff is ALLROUND professional and very friendly !

We had such a wonderful stay. Girardin restaurant was a spectacular experience. From start to finish, every dish was amazing. The crispy skin on the fish was amazing. The crudo was memorable. Even the bread is spectacular. No detail was overlooked. The wine pairing was delicious and included a nice cider pairing. An innovative chef who's truly at the top of his game. A wonderful callback dish at the end of dinner was a delightful surprise! It's a don't miss experience. Our hotel room was amazingly large and well appointed. Room service requests were quickly satisfied. The bed was comfortable. We need lots of bathroom space, and it was there. The front desk is cordial and professional. This property comes with my highest recommendation

Highly recommend. This was a great little hotel in a great location. We had a loft room as we were traveling with our son and it worked perfectly. We also ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food. The (secure) parking was key. Would return.

Amazing place. The location is the best for the Christmas market. You are in the center of all the activities. Everyone was making pictures of this hotel, because the building is gorgeous and was lighted very tasteful ! Very friendly staff, perfect breakfast , the bed is heavenly comfortable. We did not have a chance to try the restaurant, so dreaming about coming back to this very comfortable room and experience the hotel for a longer period. Thank you so much for a nice gift and fantastic hospitality !
