Hotel Garni Geisler

Chandeliers from the 1980s hang in the rooms, and the bathrooms are also from this period. The toilets are available in brown or green, just like my grandmother's. Even during trade fairs I didn't find the price of over €174 per night reasonable, especially as we had booked almost a year in advance. The fact that room service wasn't even done didn't make things any better. The next day the old towels lay untouched on the floor, the beds were not made. I don't understand why this hotel still gets good reviews here. The breakfast was OK, but no more. Also the reserved in the 80-year-old antique restaurant. It goes without saying that there is no air conditioning.

We have from 02.07. to 03.07.2022 as part of the Iron Maiden concert at Garni Geisler. We were very happy that we had found an affordable hotel with a convenient connection to the KVB network at such short notice. It was a comfortable 10 minute walk to the S-Bahn station. The house makes an overall well-kept impression, but could urgently use an update in the context of the technical building equipment: the stairwell lighting is on consistently in broad daylight (presence detectors or daylight control could solve this). Toilet flushing without a water-saving button allows a full 9 liters to flow into the sewer, even with a small business. The lawn area in the outdoor area could be opened up by means of a narrow ***** of paving at the level of the second passage to the dining room. The guests were always clapping on the lawn here, and as a facility manager I would ask myself not to maintain these areas permanently and avoidably. The service and the friendliness of the staff were perfect and we had a delicious breakfast. Many Thanks. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel for future concert events.

Since I've been a guest at the Hotel Geissler for several years, I think I can judge. I always feel very well looked after here, because I always find an open ear for questions or possible requests. The premises are very spacious. You will find enough space for your equipment. The cleanliness and excellent WiFi make my stay perfect. I can fully recommend this hotel.👌👍👌👍

Second stay in this hotel located 10 min walk from the train station (station 20 min from Cologne-Central). Some renovated rooms of good quality, others more "old-fashioned". Breakfast always very good for the price, but unfortunately no restaurant for lunch or dinner. Very courteous staff. Avoid the rooms at the front because you can hear the bells of the nearby church (ok at the back). A few snacks or restaurants within a radius of around 6 km, but few nice "bars".

Struttura molto bella a pochi minuti in macchina dall'aeroporto, parcheggio gratuito disponibile in loco con colonnine di rifornimento per macchine elettriche. Arredamento non molto moderno ma eccellente e confortevole. Personale estremamente gentile e professionale.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, trotz allem sehr gepflegt und der Betreiber hat auch schon angefangen, die Zimmer zu erneuern. Die Bäder sollten Irgendwann gemacht werden. Aber trotz allem ich würde sofort wieder buchen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und man konnte im Innenhof es genießen.
