Marine Bay Colombo Sri Lanka

Stayed here for 1 night as a transit stop. Cleanliness was good. Room was spacious. Price was reasonable. Location was also good. Amenities were provided. Overall, very satisfied with this hotel. Will stay here again next time I go to Colombo.

The location was great, close to the train tracks with an Indian Ocean vibe, and also near the city center. All the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. The food delivered to the room was also delicious.

The room was surprisingly clean; the floor was sparkling, and the desk and drawers were dust-free. The bathroom was spotless. The lighting in the room, bedroom, and bathroom was bright, comfortable, and clear without being harsh. The water quality was excellent; I didn't need to change the filter showerhead, and there was no noticeable discoloration within the week I used it. The yellowing I saw was from use at home, but in Colombo, it didn't worsen. This water quality is much better than in high-end apartments in downtown KL. However, there were also downsides. The soundproofing was very poor, leading to significant noise. The hotel is by the sea, and there's a railway track where trains frequently pass. The city itself has a climate with frequent rain and strong winds; the wind was very strong at night, and during the day when it rained, it was a gale. On the lower floors, there are tin coverings outside the hotel that make a lot of noise when it's windy. You could also clearly hear neighbors using their hair dryers. If you're a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, this might not be the place for you. The beach hotel a few hundred meters away has much better soundproofing, but it's more expensive, so it might not be suitable for long stays.

Ocean-view room. Waking up to the deep blue sea and endless sky every morning really brightens your day. The front desk staff and cleaning crew were all very friendly, and the room was spotless. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The room was close to the sea with a beautiful sunset view. It was clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors, offering great value for money. The surrounding environment was quiet and pleasant, and the beach was just a few minutes' walk away. The staff were warm and attentive, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast offered a rich variety, including local specialties and Western dishes, catering to different tastes. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and definitely worth revisiting.
