Satellite Hotel

1. Price was very affordable. I wasn’t expecting too much, but it went well above my expectations for this price. Yes, it’s an old hotel so the furniture seems a bit old with scratches and dents, but the room was kept clean overall. It did have a distinct smell that bothered me when I entered the room, but after a few minutes I got used to it. If you’re hesitating because the price is too cheap, I honestly think it’s only because of its age. 2. Location was not far from the COS airport. Local buses were during ozone season, but if you want to go far you would need to get an uber. The neighborhood seemed quiet and peaceful, but I did hear sirens going off three times during my two nights of stay. 3. The building is a condominium with a few rooms they rent out as hotel rooms. Its residents were primarily retired people who were friendly and chill. 4. The guy at the reception was super friendly. We chatted about our times in the army. I noticed a lot of retired service members in the building throughout my stay which made me feel very safe. 5. Breakfast was not a buffet, but was made freshly per order. Eggs, pancakes, and potatoes were served for free, and I was able to add two strips of bacon for a dollar fifty. Tina, the waitress, was very nice, and Jimmy, the cook, was also friendly. Food was delicious. Jimmy was so excited for me to try his “space cake”, which was also amazing. The outdoor seating has a great view of the mountains, so I recommend sitting outside.

The staff is amazing. I stay at the Satallite each time we visit Colorado Springs. And by we I mean my great grandson and my lil service dog Sunny. The rooms are equipped and clean. We will be returning. Also the Springs is filled with entertainment so one will never be bored.

Terrible customer service. Refused to allow my guest inside and forced them to wait in the freezing cold until I got through showering and get dressed to let them inside.

First, I want to mention that all the hotel staff was great. They were very nice, polite and helpful. That being said, our room(and others) had NO HEAT! That night the low was 29 degrees Fahrenheit, that's below freezing! When I went to ask the front desk why our room was not heating up, there was another guest asking about the same thing. We soon found out that the hotel staff knew about the heating issues prior to checking us in. And they did not inform us! They said that it was being fixed and we could have some more blankets. Needless to say it was a miserable night. We tried to take a shower to warm up but, of course, the hot water was out as well. They call the next morning at 9am with a recorded message saying the hot water is back on and the heat should be fixed or will be soon. This one frozen night really messed up our entire birthday getaway. So very disappointed!

The room was charming. The hotel aesthetic was pleasantly vintage and surprisingly clean.

My personal room was great and clean, however my daughter and son-in-law's room had very dirty and stained carpet and there was no phone in their room to be able to contact the front desk. The people at the front desk were very friendly and courteous. Thanks

I booked 2 night at this horrible place. First room I was given had no hot water nor water pressure and dirty towel. Second room I was given was dirty...dirty carpet, just dirty all the way around. I tried getting a refund and they just ignore my phone calls and messages. I give a 0 star if that was a option. Horrible place..

Pretty cool hotel. The man at the front desk was very helpful and patient! Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Colorado!

It was very clean. Every room has a balcony. The grounds were well maintained. The staff was friendly
