Excellent all staff were very friendly and accommodating. We could not have asked for a better place to stay right on the water front. The staff were so amazing always, answering our questions with a smile from the hallways to the front reception. The spa was out of this world.

The reception staff bickering between themselves were clearly stressed and had issues, slamming the phone 4 times whilst trying to get hold of a colleague was quiet uncomfortable for the 4 guests trying to check in. Once in our room, the bar staff and restaurant staff were professional but lacked warmth, the breakfast team were amazing, professional, efficient and friendly a credit to the hotel. Food was good.

Not as expected. We have stayed here 3 times before and was fantastic this is why we booked again. I know we came on a deal for B&B but what a joke the room was. Then the bed was so soft and full of lumps it should have been thrown in the skip a long time ago. Thankfully the staff on reception changed our room and the bed was very soft but had no lumps. I was disappointed that in the room there were no pictures hanging up and no full length mirror, not even inside the wardrobe door. The only thing going for the room was that it was clean.
The swimming pool was as I remember it...Brilliant.
Breakfast was very good but where have the gorgeous curtains gone and the white linen tablecloths? The new look of the hotel looks cheap. The new seat covers in the conservatory are poor. I could have done a better job myself and I don't even sew! Thank goodness you have kept the nice pieces of furniture around the hotel but they look out place as the hotel is not high end anymore. We will not be staying here again.

Location and cleanliness were exceptional.
Staff on arrival at 3pm stated our room was not ready. We returned at 3.30pm and were told the room was still unavailable but offered an alternative room. The pass keys provided did not work and a return to reception followed. This was tedious after a long days travel and being greeted by the above situation

Hotel Location is very good particularly for tourists with access to the steamer, Steam Train and surrounding area.
Hotel restaurants are being managed to a reduced capacity due to lack of staff, when you check in they ask you book time for restaurant, including the brasserie, yet they are not full, ie Started "only a table available at 7pm" yet when we arrived only 3 tables in use and only 10 in the whole evening. Day before we were directed to Brasserie, very disappointing food at local pub would have a) been much better quality and b) a better choice.
They have also introduced a 10% service charge on everything, even when you go to the public bar and order and collect own drinks, then they add a further charge on check out for other gratuities based on daily spend, this is stretching tipping to the limit

Lovely luxurious hotel, staff very friendly. Spa area beautiful, brilliant therapists. Only downside was the jacuzzi wasn’t working. You’re right next to lakeside ferry terminal which is convenient. Had a lovely restful stay.

My friend and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Lakeside. We had incredible window views, fantastic service (special kudos to Leanne, Lewi and Alexandra), and access to the wonderful villages of the Lake District. Hope to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was lovely speaking to Kevin, the hotels gardener too. The grounds are kept lovely overlooking the lake. We had a doggy room which was spacious overlooking thd lake. The spa facilitates were very welcoming on a wet and windy day. It was also nice and peaceful sitting in the conservatory with a coffee. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice. A lovely choice of meals in the restaurant and also the pub area if you want a more layed back approach. We will definitely visit again.
