Hyatt Place Columbus Polaris

Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean. It was quiet. Breakfast was great! Really nice hotel! Glad we stayed there. 

Modern, really clean, nice facilities. Can't get any better in terms of hotel. Location wise, close to mall but not a very walkable location. Around 20 mins car ride to downtown Columbus.

The room was very big. The breakfast, especially the eggs were inedible. The room was supposed to be handicapped accessible...the bed was much to high, i had to drag the desk chair into the br and push it against the bed so it wouldn't spin...so my mother could dress herself safely. If you promise accessible it should be done correctly.

Very clean room (no microwave though) and very good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and the bar signature drink was tasty and the Caesar Salad was really good too…

The property is nice, clean, and centrally located. Our experience this past weekend was unfortunately very poor. We were traveling with our 4 children for a spring break getaway. Our room was not ready until 2 hours after check in time and we were then told the pool was unavailable due to the heater being replaced. The pool wasn’t available until after 8pm the day of check in and was freezing due to no heater. That evening the fire alarms began going off- at least 4 times between 10:20-11:30pm. The front desk offered to refund the stay only if we checked out- with 4 kids after 11:30pm. No one in the room was asleep prior to midnight resulting in the next days plans being changed. The hotel itself was nice, but after how the situation was handled I’m not sure we’ll return to this location.

My family and I stayed at your hotel 4/2-4/4. The space was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good both days. However, we came back to the hotel early to swim. The pool was undergoing maintenance and could not be used on Friday. My daughter wanted to use the gym and it was overrun by kids and no parental supervision whatsoever. It was different ages and different families, so it was multiple parents not watching their kids. And then we had 4 fire alarms go off in a short amount of time. We went down to a lobby FULL of upset guests. Your staff on duty that night handled it FAR BETTER than I ever could. They dealt with people demanding refunds and checking people out and firetrucks and all the noise. It has to be a stressful job, but they did great. I wish we could have used more of the amenities, hopefully stricter parental supervision could be enforced. Im not sure how, but it does suck that kids were just allowed to take over and not let others use the room.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was one of the best free continental breakfast, and the location is just a short drive from everything. However, we got there two hours after check-in opened and our room still wasn’t ready. We had to wait almost 45 minutes. When we were checking in, they told us the pool would not be open until later in the evening because the heating element was out. They replaced the heating element and we were able to swim around 8:45 PM. However, there were at least five or six kids unsupervised in the pool area being very reckless around my children, and the pool was obviously ice cold. Then starting around 10:30 PM, the fire alarms started to go off. They gave three different stories of what was causing it and the managers refused to come in and help the two front staff clerks. It took almost an hour for them to figure out and the alarms kept randomly going off. They went off at least five times. It was the new pool heating element short-circuiting somewhere. The managers couldn’t care less about the stress it was causing guests and of course refusing any sort of compensation unless you checked out to go somewhere else at 1130pm and it was only possibly a “partial refund.”
