We were privileged to be able to stay at this charming and quaint hotel on a group tour. Our room was lovely-just refurbished- it had a lovely tub and shower, wonderful products. The staff both for the hotel and restaurant were wonderful! The resident animals added the perfect touch. Sit by the fire and have drinks! The restaurant serves wonderful dishes and they can’t be more accomodating. Be amazed at the innkeeper. Mary Jo, and her energy and friendliness ♥️

I was a guest of the Manoir d'Hautegente this past May, and I felt delightfully transported back in time (yet had every comfort and modern amenity I could ask for). This property is exceptionally beautiful, historic, and is just remote enough in the French countryside to feel like a true getaway. Staying at this family-run property, you are made to feel like a guest of a private home rather than simply a hotel guest, because the staff are so attentive and warm, and the setting so grand, yet relaxed. Also very welcoming were the resident ponies who freely roamed about the lawns and were happy for any guest attention they could get. I was here with a small group tour of the area, so much of our day was away from the property, but I would have loved to take advantage of the gorgeous pool and to have walked the grounds. Mornings began with a picture-worthy, white tablecloth breakfast spread, and in the evenings, we enjoyed outdoor apéros and glimmering candlelight dinners. I sincerely hope to return in the future!

This is a magical place. The gardens, the river, the old mil, the beautiful manor, the loveliest rooms and the delicious food. And above the absolute gentleness of the staff. A really magical place to stay. Dozens of activities if you wish, or just stay, read and write, get a massage in those beautiful gardens. Really an awesome place.

Tres belle maison de charme en plein cœur du Périgord noir . Au bout d’une grande allée le ma noir apparaît au bord d’un ruisseau dans un écrin de verdure . Bel endroit pour séjourner au grand calme . L’accueil des propriétaires et du personnel a été très aimable , ils étaient aux petits soins pour nous. Grand parc avec piscine . La chambre rénovée très agréable , grande salle de bains Nous y avons passé 3 excellentes soirées.

Le Manoir fait hôtel, restaurant et peut être privatisé pour un week-end et un évènement familial tel qu'un mariage : nos enfants l'ont choisi pour cela et les 17 chambres qui permettent de loger sur place un nombre important d'invités. Lieu enchanteur et romantique, très belles chambres, une restauration de grande qualité, et surtout une organisation et un service sans failles, à l'écoute des souhaits des mariés, qui a fait de ce week-end de cérémonie un moment inoubliable pour les mariés et les invités. Un grand merci à Marie-Josée et son équipe, ainsi qu'aux prestataires recommandés.

L'établissement est situé au calme dans la campagne dans un environnement très agréable, bucolique. Les chambres sont confortables et l'accueil très aimable. La cuisine était très bonne mais malheureusement pas mise en valeur par le service désordonné à outrance et d'une lenteur qui a viré au sketch le soir de notre visite. Le petit déjeuner était très bon aussi, et le rythme normal revenu pour le service. Admettons qu'il s'agissait d'un raté inhabituel. Il manquait à notre avis d'une figure plus mature pour tenir la salle

Déclassement de la cuisine, produits de médiocre qualité, quantité échantillon, un genre de cuisine moderne pour bobos. Très décevant, et pas au niveau du lieu. La cuisine ne reflète pas le coût exhorbitant de la carte

Quelle déception !!! Nous sommes repartis ce matin sans regret Clim uniquement dans qqs chambres, pas de coffre, pas de cafetière, vu le café infâme servi au petit-déjeuner, elle serait la bienvenue.... Service extrêmement long : le thé arrive ... mon pain est avalé depuis longtemps ( pas de toaster) Les avis positifs ne doivent pas aller dans bcp d'hôtels !!! Et pour couronner le tt une famille de 3 couples avec 7ou8 enfants a cru que la piscine leur était réservée : cris, bombes, monopolisation des marches Une affiche demandant le respect pour les autres personnes, serait utile Qd même qqs bons points :très propre, personnel souriant et très aimable
