Hotel Iberia - San Juan

Quaint, old-school charm. Excellent location, next to a 24-hour grocery and an easy walk to the beach.

Not worth the money. TV didn't work and no hot water for a shower in the morning. Spotty interent. Excuses of being busy and too many people using hot water and it's an old building. Stained sheets and old bedspreads. Well, fix it or charge accordingly and let people know what kind of place they are really booking.

Classic, rustic hotel located conveniently in San Juan. Accomodations were minimal but you get what you pay for. Pillows were bricks, TV didn't work but it was a place to wash and rest. AC worked and staff was supportive.

He gave my room away and wouldn’t honor my reservation. Said it’s expedias fault yet we had communicated and he confirmed my reservation long in advance

This is a youth hostel masquerading as a hotel. It would be fine if it were cheap, but it was quite expensive. There was no hot water. The manager insisted that in fact there was and we just had to let the water run for a couple of minutes. After twenty minutes we gave up, and just took showers in cool water. Hallway was noisy. Room was very shabby. Soap dish hanging to the wall by a thread, water and mildew stains everywhere in the bathroom, an outdoor -looking spigot on the shower head. Window was made of metal slats that were light-proof -- no glass windows. Which means that you could either run the AC with no light in the room, or you could open the metal slats to the outside, which let in hot air. It was not possible to have it be cool in the room and see the outside. They charged me a thirty-five dollar fee for late check in. I could go on and on. This was a cheap hostel that is somehow pretending to be a mid-range hotel.

Wonderful staff, clean, comfy beds, gorgeous garden rooftop. AC, walkable to all shops restaurants, beaches. 24hr large grocery 1 block. A water main in the next street blew when we were there which affected hot water-nothing hotels could do. Our stay was very comfortable and beat warm, friendly customer service!

Rooms were clean and good. The host was super nice and helpful. Super market nearby for any immediate needs and has economy breakfast and lunch available.

Location and and staff were excellent. Bathroom was dirty, low water pressure every day and many stuff in the bathroom needs to be replace (shower cap, drainage net). There is a window inside of the shower that was VERY dirty. Floor in the room was dirty as well, unable to walk without wearing shoes.

The manager was very nice! The bar in the building is excellent. But this is strictly a budget hotel. The locks on the doors are easy to pick
