Bacau Bay Resort Coron Reviews

I was given room 211, which turned out to be opposite a local house with roosters that started crowing from midnight until 6 AM. Unable to bear it, I went to ask for a room change at 4 AM. That evening, I was moved to another room, 203, in a different, further block. I could still hear some crowing there, but it wasn't as bad. The breakfast food was sparse and unappetizing; there was really nothing good to eat. However, ordering from the menu at the restaurants was superb – delicious at all three! The pool was dirty and murky. There were also a lot of mosquitoes, so definitely bring repellent. Many things were missing in the room: towels, shower gel, shampoo, and slippers. I had to call and ask for them to be brought every single time. The staff tried hard and were friendly, bringing a small cake and a note every evening as a compliment. But otherwise, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, 1,000,000%.

I had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at this resort. From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and effortless. I was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, check-in was seamless, and my bags were taken straight to my room which made the arrival feel extra special. The room itself was spacious and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised with welcome chocolates and brownies, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was fully equipped with everything you’d need: bottled water, a hairdryer, toiletries, a coffee station, and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks for purchase. It felt comfortable and well-prepared for guests. One thing that really impressed me was the laundry service. They had my clothes washed and returned within three hours, which was incredibly convenient and efficient. The pool area is absolutely stunning and very clean. They have three restaurants on site, which gives great variety. I ordered poolside nachos with a carrot and apple drink and it was delicious. Breakfast is a proper buffet, leaning toward a full English-style spread with plenty of options. That said, I do think the bathroom could use a bit of attention. Water leaked through the shower door when showering, the shower head could benefit from a deep clean, and I noticed a few drain flies. It didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s an area that could definitely be improved. I also experienced a small issue at checkout. They were unable to provide change when I was settling my bill, which delayed things. There were only two staff members assisting with checkout, and although I was scheduled to leave at 6:00am with a breakfast pack, I only managed to leave at 6:30am and unfortunately without the breakfast. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay. The resort is beautiful, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. With a little more attention to bathroom maintenance and smoother early-morning checkout coordination, it would be close to perfect. I would still happily return.

Our premier suite rooms were very nice. Deluxe rooms look very basic (tip - if you need connecting rooms you need to book one each suite and deluxe as two suites are not next to each other. We ended up downgrading one room). Resort is clean with good restaurant options (general + Italian & Japanese). Location is good, coron town is 10 mins away on a tuk tuk ride. Rooms could be far from the reception and we occasionally had room key issue and had to walk back all the way. There is no cellular reception in that area and wifi is really bad in rooms. There are tons of stray cats if that’s a concern for you. Overall service is good when you ask for something but it will be nice if some staff members can have a smile.

This hotel is quiet and well-located outside Coron City, right by the mangroves, and surprisingly mosquito-free. There's a magnificent pier with a bar, perfect for enjoying the sunsets in the late afternoon. From this pier, private island hopping cruises depart for Coron Island – a magical experience I highly recommend. The rooms, bathrooms, and balconies are spacious. There's a large pool, though the water was a bit cloudy. The main restaurant serves a breakfast buffet. The poolside bar/snack area offers excellent ice cream. There's also a pizzeria restaurant by the mangroves, plus a Japanese restaurant. Evening entertainment is offered several times a week. Airport transfers are available for 350 pesos per person. Transfers to Coron City or tuk-tuks are readily available right outside the hotel.

We stayed for 1 night as we had an early ferry the next morning. We were pleasantly surprised at the outdoor areas. They had a lovely pool, lots of lights in the trees and the highlight was the bar on the dock of the bay for a sunset drink. The communal amenities were much better than the room though, which was fine but basic. We had a room on the edge of the resort and there was a bit of noise from the local residents and their pets but there were rooms on the other side of the resort which I imagine would be quieter. It was approx 10 mins by tricycle into town. Overall would recommend for a short stay!

Excellent hotel, though it's a pity there's no direct sea access, only a bay with mangrove thickets. The service is excellent. Every day, the hotel offered complimentary local treats in the room. I had an early check-out, and the hotel helped arrange a transfer. Since I would miss breakfast, they prepared a lunch box with a sandwich, an egg, and fruit, which was incredibly thoughtful and showed genuine care for their guests. Thank you so much!

Very beautiful resort, comfortable and very clean room, lovely establishment.

The hotel is located on a small road, about a 15-20 minute walk from the busiest street. It's a short distance from Zuri. I've stayed at both and each has its pros and cons. The view is still good, and breakfast is decent. The Wi-Fi is mediocre and disconnects frequently. It has its own pier, which is great for watching the sunset. However, it's easy to accidentally end up in a room near the chicken coops; those chickens really crow day and night. I asked the front desk if I could change rooms, but they said they were fully booked. Luckily, Trip.com was very helpful and arranged a room a bit further away, so I finally didn't have to listen to chickens crowing in the middle of the night.

It was an average Resort. The pool was cloudy and needs work. Slider in our room was difficult to open and close. Staff were generally helpful.

If you can deal with noisy bullfrogs keeping you awake all night due to thin old window and door glass aswell as paying an outrageous 150p per towel per day to hire it, the resort itself is well kept, nice facilities, friendly staff and pretty good food. Overall quite a good place to stay apart from not being to sleep at all!

wifi only strong enough in public areas, that was a bummer for people who booked good rooms. breakfast buffet was not impressive for a four stars. jetty was great for sunset watching.

This room type is really nice! The hotel grounds are very beautiful, but the hotel itself isn't new anymore. Breakfast is acceptable, but not amazing. It's a 10-minute tricycle ride to the port. Tricycles are available right outside the hotel. There are no cafes right next to the hotel, but it's not a long tricycle ride to find some.

Terrible overcharging at + 120% on absolutely everything. Even towels! Lost one towel which I’m hapoy to pay for as I lost it but not at a 120% rate.They say you sign to agree to these terms at check in which they never explain which was so sneaky so becareful when you sign anything at check in.
