Beach Village at the Del, Lxr Hotels & Resorts

The hotel's arrangements were truly inadequate. I booked two rooms, and I called three times using a local US phone number, hoping to be assigned connecting or adjacent rooms. Twice no one answered, and once I was told to wait for another colleague, which took over five minutes. When I checked in, I was told the two rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel! I spoke with the staff at Trip.com, who were excellent, responsive, and helpful in negotiating with the hotel. However, the hotel's procedures were bureaucratic and inflexible, requiring multiple levels of reporting to higher management, so I decided not to pursue the matter further. The hotel rooms were rather old, and the soundproofing was slightly lacking; otherwise, everything was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, with a private path leading to the beach, and the food and drinks are of high quality with stunning views!
